"Not Horrible"
May, 2018 NEW
We checked into our room and opened out the pull out bed that our toddler son was going to sleep in and found dirty clothes. After going to the front desk we were moved to another room on the same floor. While this room was cleaner then the previous room it was outdated and could definitely use some TLC and updates. There were two microwaves in the room, apparently because the over the range one was not working. We didn't try using the other one. We actually only used the frig in our room and none of the other appliances. The shower/tub didnt have a drain plug so we ended up just giving our toddler sponge bathes and washed his hair with a plastic cup, but probably wouldn't have wanted him sitting in the tub anyways. The bed was supposed to be a queen but was actually a double and not very comfortable. The mattress on the pull out was very thin, but didn't seem to bother our toddler (I don't think a larger kid would have been comfortable sleeping on it.)

The indoor pool was AWESOME and it has a water slide. The Wood Grill Buffet outside of the lodge was very good (only had breakfast there) and it was reasonably priced. The location is great for attractions just a short drive to everything, and a trolley stop right outside.

Overall this place could use a little updating, but it was decent for the price. We would stay again

Shower Curtain was moldy all along the bottom. Toilet did not flush properly, had to hold it down for it to completely flush. Had shampoo, but no conditioner, called front desk and asked if they had some to use that night and she said no walk across the street to CVS. Bath towels were not changed out the first day. Had to go to the front desk for fresh towels and the lady at the desk was not nice at all, it really seemed to bother her that I needed clean towels. Towels are so thin you can see through them and very rough to the touch. The outdoor pool is absolutely disgusting, I totally get that you do not use those pools anymore because of your new indoor water area, but either drain the pools, cover them, or keep them clean. The water was disgusting and covered in sludge. That was my view! Even the poor duck didn't get in that water! The indoor pool area, was nice for the kids. The amount of chlorine in the water and the air was overwhelming. Use some of that chlorine in your outdoor pools.
Got locked out of our room. Had to walk to the front desk 4 times before we finally flagged down a maintenance man in the hall who was able to help us. The front desk was adamant that it was the batteries in the lock.... it was not, they had us checking out on the same day we checked in, so the keys were not valid. They never offered to come up and help. However, the Maintenance man was GREAT!

Very impressed with this hotel. The light beside the bed was messed up but other then that I loved it. My kids especially loved the indoor pool and water slide. I couldn't get them away from it. I also appreciated the privacy.

Don’t fall for the newly renovated rooms statement on the website. Our room had faded comforters, worn chair, stained carpet and what looked to be mold in the closet. Not to mention the dust bunnies near the door. Very disappointing.

My daughter and granddaughter and I decided to take a weekend trip together, so my daughter found this hotel. It was the first time we stayed there. It was clean and comfortable. The pool is such a treat for the young ones, they had a blast..would most definitely stay again.

Updated rooms, excellent staff who were very kind and helpful. The pool is the biggest selling point. Very large and a fun slide. I do recommend bringing your own towels from Home. Theirs are small and scratchy

We love this hotel we have stayed her multiple times and always get a great deal! Prices do change depending on season but still usually the cheapest place to stay for what you get! We usually get the queen fireplace room with the kitchen. We love that you have a full size fridge perfect for our kids juices and snacks. The rooms are good size yes a bit outdated but always clean. Only once in all our stays have we ever had an issue and it was addrsssd very quickly.

"Church Group "
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

I have stayed at many locations in Pigeon Forge over the last 40+ years we have been going there. There are some extremely nice places to stay, just look ar the prices. I can remember when Magic mountain was the biggest attraction there, been gone for 30 years. (went to Silver Dollar city, known as Dolly Wood nowadays). There were no more than 15 attractions to even go to and fewer restaurants for food, not so today!!! First time there was about 1975 or 1976. Have been there probably 60+ times. I have read many of the reviews on Trip Advisor before booking this location, “I always do”, I had some concerns. I tried to use some experience, common knowledge and good sense with Trip Advisor.oo I had 42 people that booked with our church group on a chance. After being there for three days the only thing I saw that needed addressing was a false column (not weight bearing, Decoration only) where some of the special paper (decoration) was detached when going into the arcade, (left side) as for as the rest of the stay, I ask and none of my group had any issues, that’s 42 to 0 as for complaints. They did not advertise a Continental breakfast and did not have one. There was coffee and it was free if you wanted. Cracker Barrel was across the road (not the main 4 lane road), was a two lane road with extremely low traffic. Can go without any issues. The motel is at a traffic light, a big help to get in the lane and direction you want to go. There is a good steak house beside the motel This is not like a exclusive, super high expected perfect place to stay where everything is supposed to be perfect! What it is, it is a VERY nice place to stay for a family on vacation that doesn’t want to spend $300 a day for a room. They do vary rates for peak times but every motel in Pigeon Forge does! “”””Check before booking”””” The pools are nice, the carpet in the hallway’s are fine, the elevators are quick, the rooms were nice, spacious and clean, the restrooms were clean,ok had soap and shampoo, that it. The refrigerator was larger than I have ever seen in any motels. Just watch hitting the raised tiles around the jacuzzi in your room with your toe, that’s a smart one you won’t like! Took me 3 times to understand it was not going to move! WIFI, heard several other people complaining poor service! There we’re about 7 WIFI links ospread around the motel, you just have to search for the one that gives you the best signal. Maybe some don’t understand this process, just saying. Over all, I would highly recommend this location for a family location, or group wanting something nice but not expecting or wanting to pay for perfection. We had a meeting room that was plenty large enough for our group, clean and the staff helped with anything we needed. Had one lady not so accommodating but that did not reflect the overall actions of the staff. Another staff even apologized for the other lady (not mentioning names. Can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all). If you want, there are plenty of motels in Pigeon Forge, you can blow your or your companies money on to make a impression. My billfold does not allow for that
