After the tour of the lights, visit Santa’s Village where you can drink cocoa and eat cookies, all while meeting with the man in red—Santa! Shadrack’s Christmas Wonderland is open from November 9, 2018 – January 6, 2019, from dusk (about 6:00 pm) until 10:00 pm. Be sure to bring your camera for photos!
Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade
The 43rd annual Fantasy of Lights Christmas Parade is a spirited event with 100 parade participants, including marching bands, floats and more in downtown Gatlinburg. Of course, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be leading the festivities and greeting parade guests on December 7, 2018 at 7:30 pm. The parade begins at Baskins Creek Bypass on East Parkway and makes it way through to Traffic Light #10 in Downtown Gatlinburg.
Incredible Christmas Place
The Incredible Christmas Place is just that—incredible! Celebrating Christmas year-round, it’s dedicated to all things holly and jolly. If you’re looking for Santa in Pigeon Forge, you’ll find him at the Incredible Christmas Place. During the holiday season, they host a singing Santa to entertain guests. Visiting Thursday through Monday, Santa is also available for photos with kids and kids at heart!
Dollywood hosts a Smoky Mountain Christmas festival during the holiday season, decking out the theme park with more than four million lights and dazzling décor. Head to the County Fair section of the park, to Santa’s Workshop, to visit with Santa. Surrounded by larger-than-life toys and interactive displays, this is the ideal place to whisper your wish list to Santa. Smoky Mountain Christmas festival is open through January 5, 2019.
Another place to snag a photo with Santa in Pigeon Forge is at The Island. On select dates throughout the month of December, Santa will be available for pictures, wish lists, and holiday fun. While you’re at The Island, don’t forget to finish up your Christmas gift shopping!
The Polar Express with the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad
The classic children’s Christmas tale, the Polar Express, comes to life on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad. From November 9, 2018 through December 31, 2018, children and their parents can ride the train adorned with Christmas decor, goodies, and activities to get into the holiday spirit. Plus, rumor has it that Santa Claus will be onboard for pictures and conversation!
