Description

from Murder Mystery Dinner Show
The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show is a small and intimate theater, perfect for the up close and interactive show it provides. Our traditional, restaurant-style murder mystery plays out all over the dining room, so every seat is the perfect seat. There are four sidesplitting, parody-style shows played in repertory each week: Gun With the Wind, Moonshine Murders, and The Killbillies. Guests are given the opportunity to participate in the mystery, either by becoming an audience actor or by solving the murder using the clue packet provided at each seat.

Gun With the Wind is the sequel to our audience favorite, Frankly, Scarlett… You’re Dead! Moonshine Murders stars the Luke family who have been runnin’ shine in Sevier County but are finding it harder to evade the law with all of the tourists in town. The Clampetts are the stars of The Killbillies who have relocated to Pigeon Forge, where Jed is looking for a new life and a new wife!

Your ticket includes our “laugh ‘til you die” murder mystery show with a Prize Package for the Top Sleuth of the night, as well as a three-course dinner with choice of soup and cheesecake for dessert.

Now Showing:
Gun With the Wind Gun With the Wind is the sequel to our audience favorite, Frankly, Scarlett… You’re Dead! It is four years later when we find Melody Simpson and her Uncle Avery planning a cotillion of sorts. Now that Scarlett is out of the picture, Miss Melody has her pick of all the eligible suitors this side of the Mason-Dixon Line. Sadly, the only eligible suitors are the two Pinkney boys. Buffoonery, mayhem and murder are sure to ensue as the Pinkney boys fight for the honor of Miss Melody Simpson.

Moonshine Murders
The Lukes have been runnin' shine for years in the Sevier County hills. The unscrupulous Boss Boar and his henchwoman, local law officer Roscette P. Ketrain, have pursued them for years to no avail. But Sevier County has now become a prime tourist destination with increased traffic, making it harder for the Lukes to outrun the incompetent law woman. It is for this reason that Uncle Bessie has decided to sell his highly sought after, top-secret moonshine recipe to the local distillery at the bi-weekly Boss Boar Celebrity Speed Trap Concert featuring Elvis. The only problem is that Uncle Bessie hasn’t discussed the sale of the family business with the rest of the family.

The evening of the concert has the whole county vying for the top-secret moonshine recipe and is full of murder, mayhem, and of course - moonshine. So grab your hats and hold on to your seats 'cause it's gonna be a bumpy ride in Sevier County tonight!

The Killbillies
Back from Beverly Hills to start a new life in Pigeon Forge, meet the Clampett Family. Jed, the patriarch of the clan, has designs on a new life and a new wife after some financial and zombie problems in California. Ellie May and Jethro are up to their own brand of mischief and hijinks, while Granny misses her California life as much as she misses her motorcycle gang. All this and more in a brand new take of your favorite characters in the Beverly Killbillies!

Seating is assigned when you check in at the theater.

We had a group of 9 ranging in age from 8 to 54 and everyone of us enjoyed ourselves. We all laughed and had fun finding the clues. Best mystery dinner we have gone to in a long time.

"Mystery Dinner Theater was a HIT"
May, 2018 NEW
If you are looking for a great experience that combines good food with good entertainment (and throws in excellent service), then look no further. The theater had to cancel the show on the night I had reserved tickets for, but went to great lengths to reschedule, and we enjoyed our evening immensely. I will not hesitate to attend the dinner theater again!!

"TERRIFIC"
May, 2018 NEW
This was a small vinue that is sometimes overshadowed by the larger attractions. The food was delicious and the smaller size led to more personalized service with associated attention to detail that can only be achieved by the amount of serving staff to guest ratio. Our server was TERRIFIC in explaining the evening events and the meal to follow. She availed the add-on options available (I.E. drinks, souvenirs, additional mysteries) without "over selling" allowing you to enjoy the evening.
The cast was obviously well rehearsed and added just enough satire to make the evening funny and entertaining.
With the added mystery, which I got wrong, I'm looking forward to attending their other endeavors.

"Eh...Just okay."

Was entertaining, not sure it was worth the price. The food was just okay, the mystery was easy solve, and the actors were mediocre. Appropriate for all ages. We even bought something from the gift shop to earn an extra clue, but never got it because we were smart enough to solve all the puzzles.

We saw "The Killbillies." The actors were great and kept us laughing! We were seated right away and our server made sure our drink glasses were full throughout the show. We had so much fun filling out the clue sheet with the people at our table. The food is served in three parts: soup, main course and then dessert. I liked that the show included some of the audience. There is no stage...the whole thing is preformed around the tables and they really keep the audience participating. The food was just a tiny bit lacking. Chicken was good as was the mashed potatoes and the cheesecake. Pork was a little dry and the green beans a little under seasoned. All in all we will go back to see the other Murder Mysteries in the future...we had a great time!

"Not bad..."

The food was pretty good. You get decent portions and the taste isn’t bad however it is not what I have come to expect from other dinner shows. The servers and staff are very friendly! The show is ok. We seen the show based off of the “Dukes”. The first act was not so great but the last 2 were ok. Definitely not as good as other dinner shows but not bad either.

"Waste of time and money!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed June 07, 2018 NEW
We’ve been to Pigeon Forge many times and wanted to try a new show. We decided to try Moonshine Runners Murder show and so wished we hadn’t. Sadly it was a waste of money, the food was horrible and we couldn’t see a lot of the show because they perform the skit around the tables and other patrons were blocking us from seeing it. So wish I’d spent the $100 on something better!

"Great food, decent acting = good time"

What can I say? The title says it all. The food was awesome and they offered gleuten free and vegetarian options which was great. The servers were very nice and good at their job. The show was fun, and indeed it was funny. Overall I thought the acting was good but that they could have done a better job of not “breaking” (in the acting world that mostly means staying in character.) I thought that the clue packet could have been explained at the end of the night. Most couples at our table left a tad confused about the first clue in the packet and how it related to the end result of the show - we saw moonshine murders btw. I thought that the plot of the show could have been drawn out a bit- it was a little confusing at the end. Overall, we had a great time. Great food, good servers, clean facility, intimate show, audience participation, and funny acting! I much preferred this to the Dixie stampede, for those possibly considering which dinner show to attend (I don’t think kids would have been as entertained by this show, however.)
