"Didn't have our reservation"
Reviewed February, 2015
We arrived early, thank goodness. They didn't have our reservation so we got downgraded on our cabin. We had to take a smaller one but that was ok. The manager, Charlie, was a little rude to us a check in saying we should have called to verify our reservation. He said this happens to everyone that uses this site. On check out we didn't know how to check out Bc the office was closed so we had to call him again. He was rude on the phone and hung up on my while I was speaking. We won't be staying with them in the future.
Tip: Be prepared to figure things out on your own and don't ask questions Bc it completely inconveniences the manager.

"We had sun, rain, snow, and lots of wind all in a 8 day period."

The property had cabins and condos. We stayed in one of the condos. My only mistake was booking on the first floor. You can hear every foot step and sound up stairs and the kids up there really were playful. I have already booked one of the cabins for next year as this place is "Beautiful". The noise of the condos did not over take the otherwise clean, comfortable and well kept Resort. (With all that said the Resort really need to solve that noise problem in the first floor condos.)

"Nice, just a little noisy."

We stayed in one of the condos and it was roomy and clean; they also have cabins. The king size bed in our room was very comfortable. The shower head in the master bath is mounted very high making it difficult for shorter people like me to reach the shower head for adjustments. (I'm 5'5".) The only real issue we had was the noise from the unit above. The people were not at fault as they were just walking around, running a bath, and doing normal activities, but there must not be much insulation in the ceiling to dampen the noise. It wasn't so bothersome after the first night as we became accustomed to it. I would definitely stay here again.

"Nice spot to stay"

Our extended family rented one of the two bedroom condo units as well as a three bedroom cabin. Please note that many of the cabins have steep stairs to the front door. We had one elderly person and several small children and this was an issue. The cabins themselves are nice. Downstairs is a smallish living/dining/kitchen area and the master suite. The tv is small but are you really going to the Smoky Mountains to watch tv? The resort itself is located miles from Gatlinburg proper so be warned that you'll have to drive at least 10-15 minutes to get a gas station/restaurant/town. But conversely the resort is compact and there is no sense of privacy amongst the cabins and condos. The surrounding mountains are beautiful though. The resort amenities are very basic; there is a pool and a basketball court, the rooms are pretty standard. Everything was clean and we never had any problems. Check in/out was painless.

This was a quick getaway. We toured Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The cabin was lovely. All natural wood, beautifully furnished. Would very much recommend this place to stay for a trip to Gatlinburg.

"Home away from Home!"

This was my first time to Gatlinburg, TN and the folks at White Oak Lodge & Resort made our stay wonderful! Both the grounds and condo were very well kept and it immediately felt like a home away from home. I went with a group of friends with their families and everyone loved the place. It is close enough to the major attractions and yet far enough away you can avoid the traffic you if want. Great place and people! We will be back for sure!
