"An alright place to stay"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

It is not a luxury hotel by any means but it was a clean place to sleep and shower. It was also close to everything we wanted to do. I was not impressed with the breakfast or the space for breakfast (2 small tables with 6 chairs for the whole complex). Initially the front clerk was not very nice or helpful. We came back a couple hours later and she was still completely razzled. I don't know what was going on but we were considering looking for another place. We didn't but will more than likely not stay there again.

"Our 20th Anniversary! 4 nights"

Not one single towel holder! Yuck. The painting and cauking looked like a child did it. The 2 big tree chairs were neat looking but had absolutely no padding...couldn't even sit on them! A honeymoon suite should NOT be across from the elevator on the corner. The maid service should NOT be allowed to bring her children to work with her! Not one child guest or animal was as loud as our maid's children...every day. The room definitely needed a couch or better chairs. Definitely book a king room over honeymoon suite! I thought it would be better, but at least a king room there is a place to sit!!!, and a table to eat at. We had to pull the table to the bed so we could eat dinner one night...with only one desk chair. There was also a knat issue...coming from sink. Loved the location!

"Decent stay for price "

Good place but room needs updated . It's dated. Could be cleaned better. Needs remodeled. It's noisy too with the cars & amusement park across street. Looks better on outside than the rooms do. My room didn't have the security chain.

"Great Stay at The Timbers Lodge"

What a great experience! Beautiful pet friendly location & view of the gently rolling river. Perfect location in relation to attractions (could see the Ferris Wheel at The Island from our room). Room was very clean and fresh smelling (no pet odors). And the amenities in the room more than met our needs. Will definitely stay here again.

"Very Pet Friendly"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed May 18, 2016 NEW

Pros: I gave this hotel 4 stars because of how pet friendly it is. That is very important to me. The front desk woman was helpful as to where I could go and what I could do with my dog. There was a creek in the back lined with grass that he could play and go potty. The pool is even dog friendly. My dog enjoyed the stay very much, Very cool ambiance. Definitely felt like I was in a cabin in the woods. The bed was insanely comfortable. Felt like sleeping on a cloud. This place is particularly great if you are with kids. There is a water park or carnival thing right next door (like literally 100 feet away). Cons: Generally, the room was clean. There was something gross splattered on the inside of the lampshade, but everything else was clean enough. The bathroom light was strange. It was like a hot spotlight and was on a timer. So, you had to set the timer and if you were in the shower longer than your amount of time.....blackout. I was in the honeymoon suite which had a Jacuzzi tub and was room 114. It was on the bottom floor on the corner right next to the elevator. It was SO LOUD. You could hear everything going on out there like it was inside the room with you. There were some loud moments late at night that kept waking me up. As a single adult, I didn't like the area at all. Very commercial and geared toward Children and families. I will definitely stay in Gatlinburg next time closer to the park. No nice restaurants or new food experiences there either. Over all...good stay. Would stay again with my dog, but if I didn't have my dog I wouldn't stay again.
