Very impressed with this hotel. The light beside the bed was messed up but other then that I loved it. My kids especially loved the indoor pool and water slide. I couldn't get them away from it. I also appreciated the privacy.

Me and my wife went for our anniversary on November 18 through the 21st and was awaken by very distracting fire alarms 3 times one which was at 6:30 am another the next morning at 1:15 am and another the same morning at 7:49 am very very disturbing I have never stayed anywhere where the fire alarms go off so much I went to the front desk and they assured me that it was a fault in the alarms. Then later come to find out the water pressure in the sprinkler lines on the 3rd floor had loss pressure, I asked them for a refund of at least one of the nights they said the owner wasn't giving any refunds then they said that I could email him and that he would get back to me it's been almost a week and still haven't heard or seen a email yet. I was there also 2 years ago when the alarms when off consecutively for about 45 minutes and people was canceling there stay and going elsewhere, I'm very disgusted that we went to relax and it was the direct opposite because of fire alarms.

My boyfriend & I stayed at Spirit of the Smokies during a the week of Thanksgiving. We had a balcony room & state in 4011. We had read previous reviews that were negative. I'm not sure what everyone was talking about. Our room was nice, clean, & comfortable. I have stayed at plenty of hotels & motels in my life & I can honestly say this was a nice one. It also is in a great location. We enjoyed the spa hotub in our room. The bed was comfortable, & water was always hot. One night the fan in our a.c went out & maintenance immediately came up & replaced it. We found all of the staff to be friendly & accommodating. One evening we walked over to the Woodfire Grill; it was nice also. Please give Spirit of the Smokies a chance. Sometimes people have negative experiences, but ours was good. We would definitely stay here again.

My family has been staying in this motel for 25 years when it was a quality Inn. I am very disappointed in the last two years staying here, but I gave it one more try this year. We stay here every November. Five years ago when the rooms were renovated it was very nice. But all along somethings were not correct it for example the lobby has the oldest run down furniture in it with that old artificial tree to make it look like a forest. Then you have some run down desk with the old executive leather black chair right in the middle of the lobby with timeshare greeting you. Very tacky. Out in the front lobby outside to the left are a bunch of used sicker read butts just piling up near the sidewalk very unattractive. Near the back of the parking lot they have stacks of old previous furniture stacked up outside. Very lazy of them not to take care of this furniture in storage somewhere and closed. Then they made another lounge where they took the furniture from years ago the couches and put them downstairs in the lounge all this used furniture. They have a business center which is just one desk and no printer and I'm not sure if you have to pay for it or not. Now onto the hotel itself. First of all we called ahead and requested rooms on the same floor for my son who we were visiting and they shorted us in the morning that we were on the same floor when we got there at night we were on separate floors and his room was the last room to be sold even though he checked in in the morning and he was facing the back of the hotel and the stinky room where you couldn't go anymore because there was no rooms left. His kids had asthma and they couldn't breathe very well but there were no rooms left. When we got into the room it was very run down the carpet had big stains in it as well as outside the room on the fourth floor they were big stains in the carpet and there was a chip in the wall that was fixed with plaster that wasn't painted over. The elevators through November 14 still or not working and according to the manager they said in October that it was temporary and they were going to fix them. The one elevator was so dirty you couldn't even see through it and the carpet was filthy inside that as well.

"If you want cold water all around stay here"

We had stayed at Spirit of the Smokies several times, however it had been a while. I must say the place has went downhill tremendously. When we got into our room, we checked our beds and the sleeper sofa for bed bugs as we always do. We didn't find any but we did find a lot of stains under the mattress. The floors looked like they had not been cleaned in years. Stains and dirt everywhere. The toilet was unstable, it shifted back and forth. When we went to take a shower, the water was cold, so the first morning we took cold showers. The water in the bathroom sink and kitchen sinks were hot so the problem was in the shower itself. We called down to request maintenance. We were in the room at least and hour and decided to go own about our day. Who knows if they showed up because the next morning the water was still ice cold. The indoor pool was also ice cold. It's like it was not heated at all as they advertise. It was not tolerable at all. Upon checkout, they did give us 10% off but that does not compensate a cold shower two days in a row and my husband and son not getting one at all on the second day. I told the lady upon checking out that we would not be back and it's like she didn't care. We will never stay here again. $99.95 a night...not way!

We stayed for 5 days, meeting family there for a visit. I loved having the kitchenette in the room. The room was nice sized and very nice kitchen area with table. That is made it very nice for visiting. But it could definetly use a good cleaning....the carpets in the hall ways were horrible...stained and very dirty. The carpet in the room could have used a good cleaning as well. But the room itself was very nice. I would stay there again. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful...we called down for a few extra pillows, they were there in a matter minutes!
