"the Resort at Governors Crossing"

Reserve Direct was very helpful in helping me find a condo for my family. They found just what we were looking for, within our budget. The Resort at Governors Crossing is a very family friendly condo. Multiple pools and all rooms are easily accessible. It is conveniently located near Dollywood and the outlet mall.
Tip: conveniently located near Dollywood and the outlet mall, very family friendly

"So great!!!"
July, 2016
Can't say enough good about Governor's Crossing! It all started at the front desk with the lovely reservation staff. She knew EVERYTHING there was to know about the surrounding businesses and restaurants, was so helpful in selecting the room that would best suit our family, and (unlike most customer service workers) told us what days she would be working if we needed to contact her regarding anything. We (6 in all) had the 2Bd/2Bath condo. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Kitchen clean and stocked with bare essentials. For as many children as were present our hall was very quite during the evening...we never heard our neighbors! If I had to give one negative, it would to suggest they have a "checkout list" to ensure we as guest are not charged a clean-up fee for inadvertently leaving something undone. My kids and niece could not get enough of the indoor and outdoor pool. Movies at the pool on Tues and Sat was a nice feature for me since I'm not a swimmer but had to be down there with the kids. Winery is in the next parking lot, and multiple restaurants within walking distance. Front desk even informed us of all the restaurants in the area that deliver to the condo. Only 2-3 miles from Dollywood. Perfect!
Tip: Kitchen stocked with bare essentials, i.e. silverware, glasses (no cups), plates, bowels , a few cooking utensils. If you are a large group and need big pots, muffing pans, multiple serving utensils, etc. bring your own!

"Loved every minute, hated to leave this place!!!"
February, 2016
Had a two bedroom condo, and I was so impressed. Each room had its own bathroom, we were located close to the indoor and outdoor pool so that was also a plus. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained, we hated leaving them they were so nice. The hallways were quiet, the outdoor noise during the day was minimal, if any. Its also close to books a million, which my kids absolutely love, vanity fair outlet, rack room shoes and I believe there is a shoe carnival as well as Fuddruckers and a buffalo wild wings and less than a half mile (guesstimate) from Walmart, chick-fil-a, steak and shake and baskin robbins. I will definitely stay here again. The staff at the check in desk were extremely nice and helpful. They even called about 30 minutes after we got to the room to make sure the room was okay and that we had everything we needed, left the number to call them back if we had any problems whatsoever!!!! Talk about customer service!!!! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place!!!
Tip: Be prepared to love it!!!!!!!

"Overall Okay but many notable problems"
March, 2015
Me and my family booked 3 separate rooms, one two-bedroom condo, one one-bedroom condo, and one queen sleeper studio. Guest Services was great with us and our room was spacious and very nice overall, especially for the price we paid. The trouble we had was in getting the DVD player to work with the TV,after fighting with it for an hour it turns out they had given us the wrong remote. They also had printed information telling us that there were DVD rentals available in the game rooms and after walking the whole hotel, we questioned the front desk and found out that that was no longer the case. Also, there were only a couple luggage carts available on the whole property and they were impossible to get ahold of, they were never returned and both, checking in and out, we had to make several long trips to the car and back. Additionally the room we were given was a single locked door that opened to two more locked doors (A and B), B was not part of our party so every time someone knocked on the outer we didnt know if it was for us or them and when you stepped out to answer you would get locked out of the inner if you didnt have your key on you, very frustrating. Lastly, our room was impossible to cool to a comfortable temperature. The halls were kept hot at 74 degrees and even with our thermostat set to 68(the lowest it would go) it never cooled and we were sweating all night. My father in law had a horrible experience in his room, his door would not close correctly and had to be forcefully opened creating a loud screech every time. It took the maintenance people over a day to get it fixed after several attempts to fix it but just making it worse. He also had numerous stinkbugs crawling about his room throughout the visit. The elevators at the property are also fidgety, we got stuck in one for several minutes and the alarm went off before it started up again, scared everyone in it real good. For the most part the hotel staff was friendly but the whole hotel just has a lot of small problems that lead to one overall uncomfortable and stressful situation.
Tip: Pack Light and bring a fan

We stay here yearly for our girls shopping trip - and anyone of our group that visits the area throughout the year always stays here as well. Have recommended to lots of family and friends. They are so friendly and helpful. From checkin to checkout - they are at your service. Greg Oneal of Guest Services was super - and Manager, Heather, solved a slight problem we had in a very professional manner. Thank you to all of you. You won't regret staying here. I highly recommend the Resort at Governor's Crossing.

We had a great 2 bedroom condo that was just a few miles from downtown Gatlinburg. The pools were fantastic for our 3 boys. The trampoline in the front of the property was a huge hit, too!! The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean & spacious. There is not daily mail service, but they do empty garbages & replenish towels daily. By no means is the "luxury" accommodations, but for a busy family it is just perfect!!!! Close to everything.

I'm a 39 year old Mom of a 10 year old daughter and 4 year old son. This was our first time traveling to Tennessee for a mini vacation prior to Christmas holidays. My Mom also went with us. We were greeted at the front desk by Greg. He was extremely helpful and so pleasant throughout our stay! The rooms were very large and clean! All dishes, utensils, and pots and pans were included. We had a one bedroom with 2 queen beds and a pull out sleeper sofa. We were pleasantly surprised that all the appliances were full size and the living room as well as the bedroom led to their own patio entrance. The kids and I both loved the arcade which was reasonably priced . The average game costs around .50. The indoor pool was the highlight of our stay. The water was the perfect temperature and a lifeguard is on duty until 11 pm daily. There is a huge slide that the older kids can enjoy as well as a kiddie area and a hot tub. Extra towels and life jackets for the little ones was a real plus for me! My oldest can swim but my youngest can't and his experience in the water wasn't effected due to him having a life jacket. Everything was so nice! The Resort is at the perfect location on the strip which is conveniently located across from Walmart, tons of restaurants, and lots of places to shop.We had so much fun! We have decided to make this an annual trip.

We love staying at the Resort at Governors Crossing. We stay here every year the day after Christmas for a short visit to the mountains. The water park is great and the location is easy to get to by using Veterans parkway. We will be back in February to visit with Grandparents. We get a two bedroom suite that will sleep 4 adults and 2 kids with room and privacy. It is now common that we stay and this facility 2 to 3 times a year.

"Not what the pictures show / poor service"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed January 01, 2017 NEW
The room was outdated and the bathroom for the 2 bed bedroom was far to small. The indoor waterpark is too small for the amount of guests. Light room service isn't explained so don't expect toilet paper, trash to be emptied or soap unless you ask. Then you still don't get them until you go get them. The wifi is poor. The room was somewhat clean. Although we spoke with a manager, there was no effort to make things right. Someone fell on the slick floors in the waterpark which apparently is a regular occurrence. She was taken out in an ambulance. Not worth the money!
