"So great!!!"
July, 2016
Can't say enough good about Governor's Crossing! It all started at the front desk with the lovely reservation staff. She knew EVERYTHING there was to know about the surrounding businesses and restaurants, was so helpful in selecting the room that would best suit our family, and (unlike most customer service workers) told us what days she would be working if we needed to contact her regarding anything. We (6 in all) had the 2Bd/2Bath condo. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean. Kitchen clean and stocked with bare essentials. For as many children as were present our hall was very quite during the evening...we never heard our neighbors! If I had to give one negative, it would to suggest they have a "checkout list" to ensure we as guest are not charged a clean-up fee for inadvertently leaving something undone. My kids and niece could not get enough of the indoor and outdoor pool. Movies at the pool on Tues and Sat was a nice feature for me since I'm not a swimmer but had to be down there with the kids. Winery is in the next parking lot, and multiple restaurants within walking distance. Front desk even informed us of all the restaurants in the area that deliver to the condo. Only 2-3 miles from Dollywood. Perfect!

Tip: Kitchen stocked with bare essentials, i.e. silverware, glasses (no cups), plates, bowels , a few cooking utensils. If you are a large group and need big pots, muffing pans, multiple serving utensils, etc. bring your own!

"Loved every minute, hated to leave this place!!!"
February, 2016
Had a two bedroom condo, and I was so impressed. Each room had its own bathroom, we were located close to the indoor and outdoor pool so that was also a plus. The rooms were extremely clean and well maintained, we hated leaving them they were so nice. The hallways were quiet, the outdoor noise during the day was minimal, if any. Its also close to books a million, which my kids absolutely love, vanity fair outlet, rack room shoes and I believe there is a shoe carnival as well as Fuddruckers and a buffalo wild wings and less than a half mile (guesstimate) from Walmart, chick-fil-a, steak and shake and baskin robbins. I will definitely stay here again. The staff at the check in desk were extremely nice and helpful. They even called about 30 minutes after we got to the room to make sure the room was okay and that we had everything we needed, left the number to call them back if we had any problems whatsoever!!!! Talk about customer service!!!! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place!!!

It's a pretty nice place to visit. Lots of water stuff to do. Not very convenient on toting our luggage in and out of the room. We decided to check out early and the staff was super about the whole process.

"WHAT A JOKE! Not worth the money!"

When reserving our room, we were told it would include free breakfast each day and at check-in we would receive a AAA discount if we present our AAA card. We were also told check-in time was 4pm, but if rooms were ready we could check in early. We arrived at 3pm and were told no rooms were ready and they don't accept AAA discounts. We were also informed that they offered NO BREAKFAST, free or otherwise. They told us to leave our contact phone number and they would call or text us when our room was ready. When they had not called by 4:30pm we returned to check-in assuming they had forgot to call. Upon arrival we were told our room was still not ready although it was now 45 minutes past check-in time. We waited in the lobby with about 10 other families for our rooms to be ready. The front desk clerk notified us about 5:15pm that our room was now ready and he could see we were very unhappy, so he said he would have the manager contact us. When we checked out 3 days later, the manager had still not contacted us and still has not. We were told they had a 9 hole "Putt-Putt". What a joke.e finally found it hid behind the pool. It consisted of 9 plastic "holes" lined up in a straight row beside building 2.Room was not bad but certainly not worth the money.

We got here yesterday. I am laying in the bed as I type this. I booked this king bed studio with sofa sleeper through a 3rd party website. I guess since I got it cheaper, they put us in the worst room they have! We dont have a balcony. They are doing construction and thats your view! Amazing! Oh and the construction is your alarm clock! They started bright and early (7ish) Its loud!!! Im so glad I didnt pay full price, even though I did pay over $100 a night. I should have DEMANDED a new room! My fault. I cant believe they had the face to give me this room. They have workers here that sit at the pool watching. The signs say no life guard on duty but there is someone watching the indoor and outdoor. They basically get paid to sit on their phones. I have video to prove it. Not sure why they even have them out there? Cant be for safety. The water temp is very cold in the indoor and outdoor. I didnt get in. My kids didnt seem to mind it until they had to get out. They were freezing. Not very enjoyable. I left this review to warn others. Dont get stuck anywhere in the back!! Refuse the room! The hotel is nice and the rooms are big. But its not worth the price. Below is a picture from our door and the beautiful workers and the awesome job site. 🙄 The door is really dirty, sorry if its not clear. We wont be back.

I have an energetic preschool who loves the water. This was a great place for her because only a few places in the pools where 4-5ft. She loved the slides even if they did beat her up a little. I liked the fact there was a lifeguard on duty and the resort provided lifejackets. The room was nice hubby keep complaining the living room was hot and needed a ceiling fan to blow the cooler air down. Not all the jets worked in the jacuzzi tube and it looked a little dirty around the edges. There was a pizza cutter so I thought their should be a pizza pan. The staff was excellent very nice and accommodating , especially the lady that checked us in and signed us up for Smokey Mountain Rewards. It would be nice if there was an on site snack place on-site or Resort had coffee and afternoon cookies; however, their are restaurants and a ice cream parole within walking distance. I'd go back if the price was right. Sat night was too expensive for the only additive being a movie. I also was surprised that glass bottles where allowed in the pool area.
