The hotel was very clean and quiet. It is a little bit of a drive to get to the attractions and shops from here but we wanted quiet and not to be in the "heart" of everything. We only stayed one night and it was (almost) perfect. At other hotels I have stayed at the offer a continental breakfast if it ends at 10:00 am you can still at least get a piece of fruit or a muffin if you arrive at 10:05 am. Not here. We arrived no more than 5 minutes after it ended (yes, I realize this is our fault) and everything except for watered down juice was gone.

Ramada south has some of the friendliest staff I have encountered at a hotel. Very nice people. But the rooms need a remodel soon. Our shower had water damage to the walls around the shower, the facing of the bathroom door was held on with staples, and the room smelled a bit musty. We were also not happy with the beds, but we both have back issues and that could have contributed to our morning back aches. Not our greatest stay, but would not dissuade someone staying there when rooms are hard to find. You wouldn’t be overly happy with the stay, but wouldn’t be a nightmare either. YMMV

"It was convenient for us but needs upgrades"

Rooms were booked by our friends; they were adequate but do need updating. The toilette in the bathroom is so low one really needs a grab bar to get up. There were 2 lights out in both rooms and we did have the maintenance man, Mike, replace them which he did promptly. The desk people, Miss Chelsea and the others were very nice and helpful. While the free breakfast that was made available left something to be desired, it was better than nothing. Again, it was a place to hang your hat for a night or two. Traffic was wall to wall both here and in Gatlinburg and honestly, if any's been to Myrtle Beach, Pigeon Forge is MB without the ocean. Except for the Titanic Exhibit which is wonderful and the Hatfields & McCoys dinner show, you could be in Myrtle Beach.
