"The condo was great"
November, 2015
The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the pull out couch was treacherous to sleep on feeling every spring inside it. My girls 8 and 11 slept on it and although they didn't complain...when I asked they fessed up it was the worse mattress they had ever experienced. The bedroom matrress was great and everything else we loved. So if you are a couple and don't have to worry about the pullout go for it!! Location is fabulous right next to everything downtown within walking distance. However go in person if you have more than two persons.
Tip: This is definitely a place to stay for easy downtown access for couples.

We checked into the Oak Square Condos for a 3 night stay on a promotional package from Diamond Vacation Resorts. Check in was very easy and the desk girl very professional. When we walked into the room (#410) we very extremely disappointed! Room 410 would be rated a 1----or lower! The small condo had a set of bunk beds in the kitchen??? The main bedroom was OK but only one of the two lamps worked, there was a hole in the wall from the previous headboard that had been replaced, and there was a frame from where a smoke detector had been but there was no smoke detector. The carpet was very frayed in a few areas. There was a hole in the wall behind the entry door from the door knob having been banged into the wall. The ceiling light in the kitchen did not work, there was either mold or residue from a water leak above the kitchen sink, and under the sink was gross and totally disgusting!!! It was by far the worst motel room I had ever seen. After going to the front desk to ask about the availability of another room, the clerk, Tori, gave me the key to room 313 to look at. IT WAS 5 MILLION TIMES BETTER!! Tori was glad to switch rooms for us. I had been in retail management for 35 years before retiring and know good customer service. Tori was OUTSTANDING in helping us. She was very friendly, courteous, and professional. I would rate room 313 a 5! I did find out later that this was NOT a Diamond property but that they were using it while they rebuilt several cabins that had been burned down in last summers fires. The condo rooms are individually owned and therefore some are in much better condition than others.

We stayed for 4 days. It rained the whole time so we bought an umbrella and enjoyed ourselves. Our room was beautifully decorated and clean. The bed was amazing. We enjoyed sitting out on our balcony in the morning with coffee and a cocktail at night. We can't wait to return.

We recently visited Gatlinburg for the first time in 5 years! We were so excited to find such a beautiful condo downtown, wishing walking distance to everything, with a rate that fit our budget! This condo was so homey and beautifully decorated! It had everything we needed and more! Would definitely stay here again!

Indoor pool being remodeled, outdoor pool was nasty and the hot tub water looked like soup. Ice maker on third floor not working. Elevator beyond slow. No remote for tv in living room and tv in bedroom had a wire that wasn't long enough for it to work. We talked to owner. He did offer his apologies because they just switched carriers. Nicely decorated and great bed. Probably would have chosen a different place if we had known about the pool isssues.

Love the room layout, kitchenette and balcony. Had a small old projection TV with poor reception and a remote control that don't work. Toilet wouldn't flush when we arrived (couldn't be fixed till next day because they don't have office hours 24 hours). We took this location for the indoor pool, that was sadly closed down. The exterior pool was nice, however the hot tub was absolutely intolerable with too much chemical (chlorine?) in it. My daughter got in for about twenty seconds and had to get out immediately due to burning eyes and coughing uncontrollably over the chemicals.. she became very sick a few minutes later. I attempted to enter and quickly learned what caused the reaction she had, because it did the same to me. Room was clean, kitchen cabinet doors were falling off. Nice dishwasher and dishes were included. Front desk person was very nice and knowledgeable. He was very "by the book". Location has no business center and front desk will not print anything for you (went on a mission to find a printer to print Dollywood tickets). I would stay again, but cautiously.
