"So close to everything"

The staff was so pleasant. This motor inn is well kept, a 3 minute walk to downtown Gatlinburg, and very friendly. A great value! We will be staying here again.
Tip: Rooms come equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker

It was an ok stay. The beds are clean but the bathroom is tiny and toilets were hard to flush.
Tip: Don't expect the Hilton but it was ok for the price

"average accommodations good service"

It was an okay place to stay for an inexpensive getaway with my small children. No complaints and lower rating is only because the hotel is a bit dated, but for the price it is a good value!
Tip: Bring decent walking shoes and you are in great shape with the location of this hotel

"Awesome time"
February, 2015
I took my two sons and I to this place and it was unbelievable. We had a great time with an unbelievable view of Tennessee. It was very close to everything and the staff was very friendly. Overall I'm definitely giving this a 10!
Tip: When they say your check in time is 3 PM they mean 3 PM. Which is good because it means they take their time to get the room clean and ready for you.

This place was very clean. The knob on our shower was broken and there is not much lighting. However, the beds were comfortable and maid service was good. Good distance from strip. The owners seemed a little overwhelmed, but were friendly. It did smell overwhelmingly of weed at about 10 or 11 both nights we stayed. Overall, a good experience.

Trip was the first weekend in March. Very nice at check in joked with us made us both feel welcome from that moment. Also as we where heading to eat stopped his car and asked us if everything was OK. Which made us feel better about the choice of this hotel.

This Hotel is a DUMP.... I read the reviews and booked this hotel through expedia.com but What a MISTAKE!!! There are No Interior Safety Locks on the doors!! I have never stayed in a Hotel that has No Interior Safety Lock on the door. This is One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The older man who runs this place Leaves at night around 12:00 AM and the hotel is Completely Unattended. There is ZERO Security... So If you have a problem forget calling someone about it because there is No One supervising or Providing Security at this hotel at night. You are Completely Own your Own at night... My wife and I stayed here and there was a lot of Partying and Noise going on Saturday night.. One group of young men were standing outside on the public balcony that is outside the doors of everyone's room and they were all smoking WEED which I could Easily SMELL from inside our room and drinking and playing loud music at 2:30 AM... This is a PARTY Hotel where a lot of Drug use and Partying goes on... Never Again... It's much better to pay $120+ per night and stay in a Nice SAFE Hotel with Security than to stay in this DUMP... NEVER AGAIN!!!

Since the Kingwood Inn burned in the great arson fire of November 2016, I have been left without a place to stay in Gatlinburg. I recently tried the Mountain House Inn on Newton Lane and was not disappointed. The Mountain House is clean, basic comfort on a relatively quiet street. The staff gives real customer service if you remember what that is. I used my online form to state I was traveling with an older person and they automatically gave us a handicapped room. They also honored my request not to be placed directly next to other guests and they didn't put anybody next to us during the whole trip. Our rooms were comfortable and the expanded bathroom has a small fridge and microwave. Water was hot and water pressure in the shower was good. This hotel is a very easy walk to the downtown area. The room wifi worked most of the time but not all of the time. Overall, this will be my new preferred stay when I am on my own time. If you are not a high maintenance traveler, you will will like it as well.

Family of 5 came down for the weekend.. Stay was perfect.. Owners were very nice and extremely grateful.. This was our first time staying here, and you can't beat the location.. Instead of driving from Pigeon Forge, sitting in all that traffic, and then having to pay to park, we decided to stay here, and again, it was perfect.. Walked to wherever we wanted to go, car stayed parked!! This will make us rethink every time we stay in one of those big, EXPENSIVE cabins in Pigeon Forge.. We'll be back in the fall!!!
