"Not as described"
March, 2017
Not as described at all. Was told no fire damage and there was damage. Didn't effect the room we were in but there were burnt trees all around, taped off construction areas and was a total eye sore. The lot next door to the left was completely taken down and portable restrooms were all over with areas taped off. Was told the pool would be open for our trip and was heated. Pool was not open and had a tarp covering it. With two little girls who had their hearts set on swimming it was not a pleasant experience. We ended up leaving early because there's only so much you can do on the strip with two six year olds and then they had nothing to do back at the room. No DVD player; sticky notes all over the condo with demands and instructions which is very tacky. Lady at check in was very rude and could've cared less about the dishonesty that occurred.

"Not recommended!"
July, 2015
We were not able to stay in this unit. We were traveling with grandkids who have asthma and allergies, and the smell of cigarette smoke permeated this unit. It was also extremely shabby and the view looked down on a parking lot with an empty swimming pool that was in disrepair. We left even though we could not get our money back and paid for another room at a nicer place.

Tip: It is not a smoke free condominium. The quality of the accommodations is poor.

"Hello 1985"

Arrived at 6pm to find the office closed & a note taped to the door giving a code to unlock our key in a lockbox. The lock was literally hanging, not even an attempt to lock it. Kinda sketchy for security. 6 cars in parking lot & we are put in a lower level with poor lighting. The room was clean, but VERY dated (thus the Hello 1985). Stove top had foil lined drip bowl, I guess $3 wasn't in the maintenance budget. The jetted tub had stinkbugs nesting in the jet lines (the stench!) Why would you have a large, jetted tub and not a large hot water source to fill it? The bed might as well have been cement. The linens were clean but the stinkbugs had made their presence known enough to leave their mark there too. Site states it's walking distance to downtown but neglects to point out how steep of a climb it is.

This was a very cozy and comfortable place to stay. Great location, close enough to downtown Gatlinburg and very clean. We stayed in a one bedroom. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will be back here.

"Very Pleasant stay at Laurel Inn condos"

Laurel Inn is a great place to stay at Smokies as it is very near to downtown Gatlinburg but just enough far to be away from all the noise. Our family was very happy with the hotel room including the view, the cleanliness and general ambience. I had a problem with my booking and Linda went out of her way to sort out everything on my behalf even before I arrived for the check in. I am mighty impressed! I am going to stay at Laurel Inn the next time I visit the Smokies.

"Clean condo"

We spent a week in this condo and it was great. I wore white socks every day and the bottoms were still white! Check in was easy and Linda is friendly and helpful. We wanted a balcony, but when we got to the balcony but a jacuzzi. Would push for a balcony next time. We walked to the strip twice. Going was not bad, but coming back was miserable! We are older, so any younger folks should have no problem. Two burner stove was great to fix breakfast, and full size fridge. Our only problem was the inconsiderate man above us who must have been remodeling his condo...big noise til 4:00 AM one morning! Then our last night he either had a rowdy child or pet elephant with him. Not the hotels fault. We would stay again!

"Nice condo units, very nice staff"

We stayed in a 1BR with king bed and separate living room that had a fold out couch, fold out chair, dining table, TV and Blu-Ray player. The kitchen was in between the two room and had a regular fridge, sink and two burner stove top. Microwave, toaster, and coffee maker were on shelf in living room. The unit comes with all the silverware, plates, cups etc you need to prepare food in the room. Each unit has a balcony. There are stairs out the back so you can walk into the center of Gatlinburg by the Space Needle and one of the many Ripley’s. Laundry is on site and there is ample parking. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.
