"clean but musky"
Reviewed July, 2016
Actually the room was clean but it had an odor. We stayed in a suite. The person running the office was friendly and anything we needed he took care of. The pool was small but clean. I just had a problem with the room having a musky smell. It would have been nice to have a microwave.

Our stay at the Landmark was a nice stay. The room was real nice and roomy, lots of space to move around in. The view from the balcony was of the river and we seen lots of ducks and birds. Will stay their again.
Tip: Bring your camera because it a beautiful place to be and see!

"Rate Increase"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed September 18, 2016 NEW

We stayed at this facility last year in the fall of 2015 and intended on doing the same thing this year. While not the fanciest of facilities, it was clean. On our return trip we were surprised that the rate had increased from the reasonable $69 plus tax that we paid the previous year to $99 plus tax. The only thing we noted to be different was the room key now had a chip in it (not sure how that affected anything as you opened the door the same way). The front desk staff was unfriendly and became very defensive when asked why the increase. While we realize it was not them making the changes, they need to be taught to handle these questions in a professional manner. The gal at the desk was the most pleasant but the young man was really getting mad at the questions. We did not bombard them, after asking two questions and getting a snappy remark nothing further was asked. We realize that increases happen but to bump the rate that much with no improvement just makes us realize they had a good thing the year before with the price but decided to perhaps catch up to the rates around them. Also beware that the price they advertise on their sign which that day was "rooms $39 and up" was for one person and for a couple days during the week. Never could figure out why businesses can't advertise honestly. Will never be back and have already booked elsewhere for 2017.

"Perfectly fine for the price"

I have no complaints about this budget hotel. The view of the river was nice(even with the water low there were many MANY ducks to feed), the beds comfortable, the room quiet and clean. It wasn't the fanciest but it was perfectly fine for our 2 night stay and the location worked very well for easy access to pigeon forge without too much traffic related nonsense.

It's a nice hotel. Not the fanciest but it serves its purpose. Loved the balcony out back. Fed the ducks and geese everyday. Small pool but the kids liked it and that's all that matters. The workers were very nice. The beds were very comfortable

"Nice for the price"

Very basic hotel. The only negative would be no microwave in the room. Did have small refrigerator. We rented a king room which was spacious and the back balcony overlooked open fields and streams. The access to the hotel is off a main road, however and it is busy. The view from the back makes you think you are out in country and it is quiet. Shoney's right next door gives guest a discount and the food is good. This is a basic hotel but well kept and a good value for the price (under $60.00) with access to the area sights and businesses.
