They advertised WiFi which basically only worked in our room sporadically. I am mean basically hardly at all. The pool was disgustingly gross. My kids said it was oily with hair all in it. The breakfast was eatble but eggs and sausage were not very appetizing. No fruit choices. Most of the staff was accommodating with the exception a rude night shift clerk Laura who hung up on me when I complained about the WiFi not working. I wouldn't stay there again.
Tip: Gross pool and bad WiFi

"Clean and Convenient"
August, 2016
This was our first time at Island Drive Lodge. It was clean and very convenient. We were able to walk to Paula Deans and the Island, also to other shops and the Dixie Stampede and did not have to worry about parking. Nothing fancy, but it serves the purpose

"Nothing to brag about but ok"
July, 2016
We had 4 people in our room. We had to go to the front desk every evening and ask for a fourth towel. so everyone would have a clean towel for showers. Then my daughter left her teddy bear in the room when we checked out. Took us 4 calls to them after we got home to get answer if they had found it. They finally said yes. But it's been 2 weeks and just heard from someone to mail it to us for $14.
Tip: It's an ok hotel if you just want to have somewhere to sleep. That's all we did.

"Misdirection Island Drive Lodge, Pigeon Forge, TN"
August, 2015
The hotel is rather ran down and the pool is s joke, but the location is right on the main strip. However, my complaint is not on the hotel, rather how they conduct business with the local attractions. They sold me the wrong package to Dollywood, which is rather expensive. I could have thought this a simple mistake. This until, I went to the very same front desk where I bought said tickets. Of course by the end of the day there is a different customer service agent. She, Makayla, undoubtedly has the worst service I have ever experienced, even in a tourist town. She flat or told me, "All we do is take your money!", super professional, right? Then, she told me she can't help and gave me the number to the closed office that could assist. She only offered an apology upon my request. Next, she repeatably refused to get management upon my request. Lastly, she gave me two different numbers for a customer service or complaint line. She is rude, unprofessional, and lacks compassion for customers. I will be talking to management tomorrow and hopefully the owner of this establishment can straighten out the error with the tickets. I'm just trying to ensure my children have a good vacation.
Tip: Do not use this hotel, and certainly don't buy tickets for local attractions through the hotel, but only from the attraction itself.

My husband and I stayed there due to all the other hotels being full for the weekend. The outside of the hotel will definitely fool you. We stayed in room 331 and it was totally awful! The carpet needed a good cleaning, the toilet was broken, the tiles on the floor was broken and was a fall hazard, on the bathroom door, not only were there nails exposed but so was the dead bugs and the bed was hard and uncomfortable. The only upside was it was just across the street from The Island and that so didn't make up for all the bad. Absolutely would not recommend and definitely will not be returning!

we stayed on the first floor in January 2017. it is close to any activity or restaurant you could choose. It was clean and the heater worked well. It is perfect for a place to sleep, watch a little tv, and to shower. So if you are on a busy vacation, its perfect.

We stayed here about a year ago and the manager gave us the groupon price since the groupon was sold out. Our room was awesome. We had a jacuzzi, fire place etc. Was very beautiful. So we decided to stay here again, and again, the groupon was sold out I called and asked if I could have that price since the lady was awesome about doing it before. The guy on the phone he wouldn't give me his name. He was very rude. And I asked for the manager and he told me "he isn't here don't know when he will be and you obviously can't comprehend that" called back the next day and I was telling the lady about my experience. She said "what do you want me to do about it?he's only here one day a week" And I still proceeded to try and speak with a manager. She told me she would write my name and number down and someone would give me a call. It's been weeks, still no call. Will not be going back until they get new management.

We book 2nights on New Year's Eve. There was no internet in our dirty out dated room. When we called the front desk, he said sorry can't help you. However we later discovered that they have a service to call. Be just didn't want to bother with us. The rooms on the first floor have been remodeled. Unfortunately we were on the 2nd floor. It was horrible. The carpet was so dirty and stained that we wouldn't walk on it without shoes at all times. There was a hole in our wall in the bathroom and be t to the vanity waxan ironing board standing up. Very cramped. The location was great and the lobby was nice, but if you don't get a newly remodeled room.....Don't stay there!!! It is disgusting. Anytime we contacted the front desk to ask a question, the guy working was very rude. So rude we asked for a manager..Which he informed us we could talk to on Monday. I only gave it a 2 because again the location was great. Book with extreme caution!!! I'll never be back!

"The Worst Place to Stay"

Never, ever stay at this place if you prefer to have working heat or AC in your room, as well as a working bathtub. The front desk staff was fine until the last day when we tried to talk to a manager. We were informed that the owner "refuses to deal with customers". So why does he own a hotel?! It's a customer-based career. They were very rude on the phone with me when I tried to speak with a manager. They promised to call us back, but never did. They said they refused to do absolutely anything about all of our problems. It was a HORRIBLE place to stay for my husband's and my anniversary. It's so upsetting to spend money on a vacation stay that wasn't worth a penny. Also, we were frantically woke up each morning around 5 am with what sounded like gun shots. It ended up being the trash collection banging on the metal dumpsters for about 10-15 min every morning! Talk about waking up in fear!! Save your money and avoid this place at all costs!
