They advertised WiFi which basically only worked in our room sporadically. I am mean basically hardly at all. The pool was disgustingly gross. My kids said it was oily with hair all in it. The breakfast was eatble but eggs and sausage were not very appetizing. No fruit choices. Most of the staff was accommodating with the exception a rude night shift clerk Laura who hung up on me when I complained about the WiFi not working. I wouldn't stay there again.
Tip: Gross pool and bad WiFi

"Clean and Convenient"
August, 2016
This was our first time at Island Drive Lodge. It was clean and very convenient. We were able to walk to Paula Deans and the Island, also to other shops and the Dixie Stampede and did not have to worry about parking. Nothing fancy, but it serves the purpose

"Nothing to brag about but ok"
July, 2016
We had 4 people in our room. We had to go to the front desk every evening and ask for a fourth towel. so everyone would have a clean towel for showers. Then my daughter left her teddy bear in the room when we checked out. Took us 4 calls to them after we got home to get answer if they had found it. They finally said yes. But it's been 2 weeks and just heard from someone to mail it to us for $14.
Tip: It's an ok hotel if you just want to have somewhere to sleep. That's all we did.

"Misdirection Island Drive Lodge, Pigeon Forge, TN"
August, 2015
The hotel is rather ran down and the pool is s joke, but the location is right on the main strip. However, my complaint is not on the hotel, rather how they conduct business with the local attractions. They sold me the wrong package to Dollywood, which is rather expensive. I could have thought this a simple mistake. This until, I went to the very same front desk where I bought said tickets. Of course by the end of the day there is a different customer service agent. She, Makayla, undoubtedly has the worst service I have ever experienced, even in a tourist town. She flat or told me, "All we do is take your money!", super professional, right? Then, she told me she can't help and gave me the number to the closed office that could assist. She only offered an apology upon my request. Next, she repeatably refused to get management upon my request. Lastly, she gave me two different numbers for a customer service or complaint line. She is rude, unprofessional, and lacks compassion for customers. I will be talking to management tomorrow and hopefully the owner of this establishment can straighten out the error with the tickets. I'm just trying to ensure my children have a good vacation.
Tip: Do not use this hotel, and certainly don't buy tickets for local attractions through the hotel, but only from the attraction itself.

Let me start off by saying idk why this hotel gets such bad reviews. My wife and I has never had a problem with this place except for the wifi not working too good, but besides that we love this hotel. Good parking, Excellent location as it is directly across from the island. Which is where we spend a lot of time. Most time we just cross the street instead of driving. Friendly staff gets you checked in and in your room in no time. Nice lobby and pool. The rooms has always been clean. Have a very nice honeymoon suite we stayed in once. Awesome hot tub. This place will always get our business unless we get a cabin. They could fix their wifi issue but very nice hotel otherwise. We will be staying their next week for Jeep Invasion and absolutely cant wait.

"Dirty, filthy smells of mold"

I booked this hotel through Groupon, we arrived check in was quick and easy. When we got up to our room and opened the door I was immediately hit with the smell of mold...the room was out dated looking and filthy. I told my husband I couldn't take a shower in this hotel the bathroom was lined with filth, rusted ceilings, old bathtub with cracks and old nasty stains. I went down to the office to see if we could be switched to another room...I spoke with a man named Dennis, he quickly gave me the keys to go check out another room and it wasn't "as bad" but it was still pretty gross and smelly. I went back to the office and Dennis said he would have no problems processing a refund...since we booked through Groupon, Groupon would have to call the hotel and the hotel would authorize this. He said he would have no problems doing this. Fast forward to the next morning I get an email from Groupon stating he contacted the hotel and they refused to authorize the refund. I told him I wasn't taking no for an answer because I was told by a staff member it would be refunded. The matter was escalated they said they reached out to the hotel and were denied a second time. We were still in the area so I decided to stop in. I was greeted by a not so friendly woman and when I explained to her my situation she said "well Dennis doesn't have the authority to authorize a refund" I said " well he shouldn't be telling customers that so willingly then" she then got the manager Tyler to come out and talk with wit me. He was very friendly, he tried convincing me that smell was not in fact mold, but my husband rehabs houses and knows the smell of mold. He told me he would personally authorize the refund through Groupon on Monday...it will be interesting to see if he does. Look, I wasn't expecting a 5star hotel for the price we paid, but I was expecting a place where I felt comfortable sleeping and showering and I did not here. Tyler said they are renovating rooms and that our room was already renovated but it didn't seem anything in the room was renovated at all. The pictures I posted are of our room and the Groupon picture is what's advertised...I hate to say it but the Groupon picture looks better! I appreciate Tyler and Dennis willingness to help and be friendly and I hope my matter is resolved and money is refunded and that the hotel does look into the mold issue!

I just stayed there for a week with my teenage daughter and her friend. It was a nice location and price. We had a room that was recently "remodeled". The only "remodeling" I could see was a new toilet ,shower head, and flat screen tv. The sink did have cracks in it, but didn't leak. The room was clean and bed comfy. Could still use some remodeling. Michelle at the front desk when we checked in was awesome. I had to call because the fridge didn't get cold and she came right up to see what was going on. This hotel is across from the island and we did take advantage of that by walking there a few times. We also didn't have a "do not disturb" placard to hang on our door and the maids came between 9-10 every morning. They do offer breakfast, but we never made it that early. The girls went in the pool one time. If your looking for a clean room, centrally located, I would highly recommend. We will stay again.

My husband and I visit Pigeon Forge 2 to 3 times a year and we always stay at this hotel! We always get the king suite and it's always a comfortable stay! The rooms have always been clean and the beds are very comfortable! The hotel is located straight across from the island so it's easy to walk over and enjoy it! It has great parking and it's easy to get on and off the road! Its just simply the perfect place to stay in Pigeon Forge! We are looking forward to being there in a couple weeks for vacation!!
