"Spring Break 2015"
April, 2015
I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It was clean, and the staff were amazing. Had some issues with our keys but the front desk was there to help. Loved the nightly popcorn. Disppointed that the outside pool was not heated because the inside pool was packed with young kids and our older kids could not enjoy the pool or hot tub.

"Wonderful Anniversary Trip"

First visit to the Inn on the River. This was for our 30th wedding anniversary. I called the hotel direct to secure a reservation and when I did I inquired if there was a military discount. To my delight there was. I had a wonderful conversation with the young lady. I ordered the Romance package to go with our reservation. Upon arriving at the hotel and from the very first contact upon checking in through our entire 5 night stay the staff were wonderful. The breakfast each day was delicious. My husband was delighted with the extra touch (Romance Package) that was beautifully set up in our room when we first arrived The balcony room overlooking the river was an added bonus Can’t thank the staff enough for the personal card they left in our room. Was so very kind and thoughtful

"Most friendly staff we've ever encountered at a hotel."
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

The staff at The Inn on the River is by far, the best we've ever encountered with all the hotels we've stayed at. Heather went out of her way to ensure everyone was more that satisfied with their accommodations. She even does crafts with the kids in the afternoon. As for the hotel itself - very clean, comfortable rooms, nice pools (indoors and out). Good people helping with the breakfast every morning as well. Daxa kept making waffles for everyone who wanted them - thus eliminating a "back-up" at the waffle irons. We will definitely go back there again.

"Holiday Stay!!"

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving Holidays. The Hotel was on one side of the river, and on the over side there was a building so not much greenery. It was a tad bit cold so did make much use of the baloney in the room but it was nice to have one!!. The room itself was standard no real thrills and slight dated but not bad at all. I was disappointed with the housecleaning service though. I could tell that the room wasn't cleaned thoroughly cleaned. The tables was not wiped and floor wasn't vacuumed. I had to call the front desk to have someone come back to clean the room...they did immediately which was good. Also, they won't make your bed if you leave anything on it. I had a couple of pillows that I purchased left on my bed, and that's what I was told; although they made it the first day. Beside this, the lobby is very inviting and really a nice place to hangout with your family. They had a large enclosed porch with lots rocking chairs and a large TV. I enjoyed watch the football games. The fire pit was a nice touch too. The indoor pool and jacuzzi was well maintained. I enjoyed the daily breakfast it had hot and cold dishes which included: Scrambled Eggs, Homemade Waffles, Oatmeal, Grits, Biscuits and Gravy, with mostly Sausage links..one day out of 4 we had Bacon which was a real treat!!...wished they serve it more often maybe every other day would have been nice. I also enjoyed the popcorn available in the evenings, and the ability to make hot beverages throughout the day. The hotel itself is centrally located loved the convenience to museums, miniature golf, small amusement centers, restaurants, and shops, and really short drive to Gatlinburg too. Very busy and alittle crowded due to the holiday time. Hotel wasn't perfect but good; the staff was Friendly, Helpful, and Accommodating!! ....We had a Wonderful Time!!

My wife and I wanted to get-a-way for several days in the Smokey Mountain area so we traveled to Pigeon Forge and stayed at the Inn on the River. The property is in an excellent location to travel through the Pigeon Forge area, Sevierville and the Gatlinburg area. It is close to rides, attractions, and restaurants (not to mention the beautiful mountains. The hotel staff is very professional, polite and helpful. Check-in was quick. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast choices were many and the food was hot and tasty. You can get a cup of coffer 24 hours a day and in the evening is fresh popcorn. There is a nice sitting area in the lobby area with a double fireplace (many people gather here to socialize. Property has a nice fire pit, indoor and outdoor swimming pool. This is a must stay if you are considering a trip to Pigeon forge. Dr. Marc 1 John 4:4 Extra note: See my comments on our trip for the following: Noah "Bud" Ogle Place: Historic site, the Marble Slab Creamery, Timberwood Grill, Mellow Mushroom, Longhorn (Seiverville), Pancake Pantry (Gatlinburg), Tanger Outlets, Country Tonight (Pigeon Forge), and Titanic Museum.
