The hotel was nice but what made it nice wasn't how it looked it was the front desk clerk Billy. He was so nice and very welcoming... We would go out there every evening and have a conversation with him. My daughter enjoyed the conversation as well..

I booked one night on booking.com for a discounted rate of $83. What I liked was that it is at the top of the hill off the main drag so you don't hear the road traffic and traffic was horrible. We strolled in about 6.30 pm and there was a football tournament in town for 10-12 year olds so our hotel was filled with them. Impossible to get anything for breakfast in the lobby, too many kids but on a normal day probably o.k. We were on the top floor so didn't hear anyone running up and down the halls, desk clerk was nice enough to put us out of the traffic...thank you sir! The room was clean, not exceptional but presentable and comfortable except for one of the pillows which was really stiff & ungiving but there were other one's we could use. Everything in this town is overpriced for what you get so if your not spending much time in your room, I would recommend this hotel. It's centrally located if you want to explore pigeon forge. Good place for families with kids. You can see mountains around in between the other hotels up on the hill. I never want to go back, too many people and really nothing I want to see, rather rent a home in the mountains.

We stayed two nights on our way home from a bigger vacation. We booked it for the SOLE reason that the rooms had recliners. My husband is disabled and needed something more substantial to sit in other than a normal "desk chair". I'd read a lot of conflicting reviews online, but figuring we were only "sleeping there" and for the money, we decided to give it a chance. I would say overall, that you definitely get what you pay for. It is WAY out of date, but I found the room to be overall clean, especially the bathroom, which is a HUGE deal to me. There were obvious spots of rust and places where you could see that the room was in desperate need of an update. My biggest pet peeve was that the WiFi was non-existent....like I don't even know why they advertise that they have it. I think they have basically home internet service and two routers to service the whole hotel! They aren't proud of their service because they don't give you any password info like normal hotels do when you check in. I called the front desk to ask and she gave me the info. I called back after 10 minutes of trying to sign on and getting a "password is invalid" message to clarify if it was upper or lower case, etc. She (the evening clerk) was half-way rude to me and told me basically "it is what it is". I gave up and worked off data the whole time we were there. Just know YOU WILL NOT HAVE WIFI SERVICE if you stay here! As for the room itself, it looked clean, but I confess, I was worried that the bed might not be...basically because of what I'd read here and other places. It seemed to be and I don't notice anything since being gone from there. The bed was VERY soft and I've been down with my back ever since we left. The hotel is supposed to be non-smoking, but we were on the first floor, right around the corner from the lobby and I smelled cigarette smoke the WHOLE time we were there. I have a feeling someone working there was smoking and it was coming into the hallway. The breakfast was no frills. We ate out. If you like cereal, toast or a bagel, you're good. The gravy looked like skim milk. If you like a little more variety, plan to eat out. The coffee was not up to standards of similar hotels. It was in pump coffee pot with packages of creamer. No liquid creamer, at all (those things are important to me, which is why I include it in this review). The long and short is, you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a super-cheap place to lay your head and plan to stay out and about during your time in the area, you'll be okay. However, if you plan to spend time in the hotel and/or eat there, I would NOT plan to stay here.

Our night stay had awful pillows and awful feeling bed. Breakfast was very limited continental with plain oatmeal not even brown sugar or honey to put on it...really not much of a selection and actually not worth price.

My wife and I decided at the last min to take a weekend trip to Gatlinburg. It was peak season so most had no vacancies. We ended up at Hotel Pigeon Forge. The Wifi didn't work, well it was sooooooooo slow wasn't much happening. It is fairly clean, I have stayed at worse hotels. I conservatively give it 3 stars. Wasn't bad, but I'm used to nicer accommodations.
