The hotel was nice but what made it nice wasn't how it looked it was the front desk clerk Billy. He was so nice and very welcoming... We would go out there every evening and have a conversation with him. My daughter enjoyed the conversation as well..

Rooms were adequate, appeared to be safe. Furnishings seemed old. For instance, operating the TV and cable took a learning curve. Breakfast items obviously generic brand items and nothing special, but there are nice restaurants in the town.
Tip: Sign was not lighted at night, and driveway is up hill from main road so hotel not easy to identify first time. Breakfast times are very specific.

Hotel was tied into baseball tournament. Room was outdated and small. Room was clean and serviced quickly each morning but needs a great deal of remodeling. Breakfast was included but was light So each day we just walked down to Dunkin Donuts.

We always stay here whenever we are in town. The prices are good and we always feel at home. The staff have always been friendly and helpful. Whenever we have questions they will assist us. We like the continental breakfast and enjoy the outdoor pool. It is especially convenient if going to a show at the Country theater. You can cut through the parking lots and be right there without getting into the traffic.

Stayed here on a whim after finding a terrible motel down the road. Great hospitality, comfy beds and cold a/c and a pool with a view. Was very quite both inside and outside. Will return if in the area.

"RUN, don't walk away from this disgraceful hotel!"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed June 03, 2016

We booked this hotel through a work program we have using points. Free hotel, cool! All I had to do was spend my points and we're in Gatlinburg for the weekend. There was a list of 4 hotels to choose from and this one looked the nicest and was closest to where we needed to be, location-wise. Sounds nice, right? Boy, I couldn't have been handed a ruder awakening. Upon arrival to the hotel, I noticed that we stepped back in time about 30 years. This dated hotel had very little charm and we were nervous upon entering. The lady at the desk was nice enough and check-in went well. Then we took the elevator upstairs. Once we exited the elevator, we noticed the floors were creaking, it had a stale odor, and it felt like a college dorm. When we entered the room, that's when the biggest surprise happened. The room wasn't even cleaned. Hair was all over the counters, in the sheets, all over the bathroom floor. The beds were made, so someone attempted to clean the room, but they did an awful job at it. We had to kill live spiders in the beds, the sheets had blood stains and weird dark marks, and the a/c was clearly not at its top functioning capacity. When we turned it on, it sounded like someone was banging a frying pan with a hammer. Awful. I talked to the lady at the front desk and asked her for another room. She said there were no vacancies as it was Memorial Day Weekend. I told her of the complaints we had and she handed me new sheets and a bottle of Clorox wipes. Poor thing actually expected me to clean my own room. Funny. She told me that she would not charge us since the room was subpar. I guess that was nice. Went back to the room to shower and try and salvage the night. This is where the horror came in. Bed bugs in the shower. One big fat one fell out of the shower curtain. Disgusting. We took our room keys downstairs and turned them in and the lady said she would make sure we got a refund. We ended up sleeping in our car for the night. Upon trying to get the refund authorized through our online vendor, the Hotel Pigeon Forge has made this experience so much worse by not following through on their guarantee. I actually had a lady yell at me and hang up on me today after I asked to speak with the manager. Each day I have called this week, I was promised the manager would call me the next day. Then I hear he's on vacation, then I hear he's out for the day, then I hear he has no set schedule. I keep getting the run around and it's silly. My sob story aside, take my advice. Don't rent here. Most people probably won't have the same awful experience we did, but their lack of customer service speaks volumes. Their unwillingness to help us or make any efforts to rectify the situation is sad.
