"Only getting 1 star bc no stars wasn't an option"

They were under construction which we were not told about. The look of two rooms in one for privacy is deceiving there is no door of any kind separating the rooms so they are open to each other. Our tvs didn't work, we had dirty water coming out of the bath tub faucet rhe toliet overflowed on several occasions. The staff was rude and very unprofessional!

"Wonderful Hotel"

Had a wonderful room for the 3 of us at this hotel. We had 2 king beds, separated by the bathroom. Each bed had its own TV. Very nice and clean. Not sure why they did not have 2 sinks in there, was hard when everyone wanted to brush teeth. The only bad thing was our room was next to an exit and people would come and go. They would slam the door and talk loud. Not the hotels fault, just some people are ignorant. Had a nice fire pit where we met nice people from other places. All in all, would stay again.

After driving over thirty hours evacuating from hurricane Irma, we get to Pigeon Forge, TN to find that everything is booked within a fifty mile radius. I'm talking Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Kodak, Knoxville, Newport, and Dandridge. Absolutely nothing was available and the nearest roach motels were over $200 for a night. On the way to take one of our traveling partners to the nearest hospital, we came across this Holiday Inn Express. As a last resort, we decided to try and give it one last shot and walked in (we called over 25 hotels prior). Walking into this modern-style, clean and bright space alone brightened my night and the best part had yet to come: the part when I found out that they had one last room available. I felt so relieved and happy to be there not just because it was the only thing left but because the staff and the hotel itself had a positive and happy ambience. The room was very nice and very large. The breakfast was also amazing. The selection is awesome and they keep it fully stocked until the end! Awesome, comfortable, and overall enjoyable place to stay!

"Newly renovated, very convenient for the Smokies"

We stayed here 2 nights around the eclipse. The hotel has clearly been recently refurbished and was in super condition. The front desk staff were all friendly and warm. There are plenty of restaurant chains within walking distance and the hotel is just on the outskirts of Pigeon Forge - nicely away from the madness of the "strip". We found the location gave us easy access to the National Park (via the Gatlinburg By Pass) and we would definitely revisit the next time we are in NC/TN.

Be sure you get a room with a balcony and view. Check-in was very pleasant. we were recognized as IHG members. Bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was effective. Hotel is very pretty. Rooms without balcony look down on an ugly parking lot in back.
