"Amazing Vacation Amazing Place!"
June, 2016
This was our second stay at Glenstone Lodge and I must say they are very consistent. The room was clean and everything worked as it should, wifi was nice and didn't drop out or lag. It can get a little hot in the indoor pool area but it was really, nice with the waterfalls, and the deep section is separate from the shallower section. The water I side is very warm for those that do not like cold pools, however the outdoor pool was much cooler if you like that also. The staff were polite and handled all our questions even when we locked ourself out of our room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children.

"Very pleasant stay"
April, 2015
I took my daughter & two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, for a 2 day stay @ Glenstone Lodge. It was awesome! Kids loved the indoor pool; queen suite was quiet (mountain view), spacious, comfortable, & clean. Staff (all of them!) were friendly & helpful! Breakfast buffet had many selections, convenient & reasonably priced. Internet was not working consistently.

Tip: Historic Trail is a couple blocks off the main drag (Parkway) in Gatlinburg. Parkway traffic was horrible so getting to the hotel takes a while.

We made a reservation and was notified by email that our reservation was cancelled because for some reason our card wouldn’t validate. No phone call just an email. I called and the clerk ask me my name after telling her 3 times she said “ if you can’t speak up I’m hanging up”, so I spoke up which is he responded “ lower your voice and quit being rude or I’m hanging up”. I asked to speak to a mgr which her response was “ it isn’t her fault your phone don’t work. I told her I’m glad my reservation was cancelled. We travel to the area 6-7 times a year and was going to try a new place. Glad we didn’t.

This place has a nice and friendly staff. Beds were very comfortable and we had a nice view of the mountains. Entertainment and restaurants are within walking distance. There is a trolley that will take you through the town as well. Breakfast buffet was $6 for an adult and $4.95 per child, very reasonably priced and good too!

Hotel is in a nice location, a short walk to the main street, far enough away you don't get much street noise. Hotel is showing its age, many of the common areas are in poor condition, carpet is actually worn thru. Room was okay, everything worked okay. It is due for a a bit of touch up as well. The staff was really pleasant and did explain that they were working on improvements. We did have some drilling going on while there on the floor above us. If all the fixes are done as promised this could be a great property again.

Nice for the price I paid. I was on the 3rd floor. Never seen/heard any remodeling people were complaining about in other reviews. Never heard any noise from the pool or the gazebo. I was right between both. There were events going on and I did not hear a thing. Lots of parking. Staff was very nice! Yes the hotel is old and needs a few more updates elevator/pool area but it was still very decent. The rooms are all freshly remodeled and very clean! I read a review the air conditioners were loud and it was correct but didn’t hurt any of our sleep. The worst part about the room is the bathroom. Lots of complaints I read on it and it was very accurate. They are so tiny you cant change. They get so hot you can’t breathe . My husband couldn’t even use the bathroom with the door closed bc he couldn’t breathe. Had to leave door open to it at all times. Very inconvenient if you have a large family. But water pressure was amazing and water does get very hot. Also the room had the best WiFi I’ve ever had at any hotel I’ve ever stayed. Didn’t try breakfast. Seemed to expensive. I agree they should have free breakfast. Not a nice enough hotel to not have it. It is by no means fancy... actually first hotel I’ve stayed in gatlinburg without free breakfast. The location is perfect. I did walk to the strip very fast and easy with a child , husband and friends. You are very close to the strip or to amazing hiking ! The pool area was very nice. Not like the pics at all though. There is a baby pool then a 3-4 ft then 7-9ft then a hit tub. The set up was cool. No jets in hot tub at all but still relaxing. The waterfalls were always on when I was there. Not sure why others reported they were not? Plenty of chairs or seating. Lots of towels ready for you. Over all a great stay. Bathrooms and breakfast kept me from giving it a 5.

Very clean and comfortable room. The location is perfect if you plan on walking the strip. The shower spray is great, loved the water pressure! 🤣 I'd definitely stay here again. Next time, I plan on using the pool! Maybe because we were there during the week, but it was mostly empty. I should've gone swimming. Derp.
