"A good nights rest"

Glenstone Lodge is well located in Gatlinburg for a quick walk downtown. It is an older lodge but was very clean and the air conditoning worked wonderfully!
Tip: It is a busy large lodge so request a room on the backside if you're not with a family.

"Very pleasant stay"
Reviewed April, 2015
I took my daughter & two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, for a 2 day stay @ Glenstone Lodge. It was awesome! Kids loved the indoor pool; queen suite was quiet (mountain view), spacious, comfortable, & clean. Staff (all of them!) were friendly & helpful! Breakfast buffet had many selections, convenient & reasonably priced. Internet was not working consistently.
Tip: Historic Trail is a couple blocks off the main drag (Parkway) in Gatlinburg. Parkway traffic was horrible so getting to the hotel takes a while.

We had a room facing inside toward the pool. It was pretty loud, particularly when a dance competition was going on in the conference room. Staff were friendly. Parking was limited due to trailers from customers. Overall experience was average.

The location is perfect for walking into downtown Gatlinburg or taking a ride through the smoky national park. The hotel can become crowded with events. The breakfast buffet is nice to grab a quick bight rather than waiting in line at the more popular restaurants in town.

"A Very Nice Pageant Weekend"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed April 22, 2016 NEW

Spent the weekend at Glenstone for a nice pageant weekend. Hotel is older but the rooms are well put together and refurbed nicely. Some rooms have carpet while others have laminate with hard wood finish. Hotel is central to Gatlinburg core and well within walk distance of a number of great activities and food. Elevators are a bit slow so be aware if in a rush. Pool is indoor and cool - well worth the visit!

"Had a Good Time, ...But,,,,,"

I had stayed at the Glenstone Lodge before, but it had been many years ago. I used that experience as a guideline for a weekend get-away for my wife & I. Well,...things have certainly changed, and NOT for the better. The first night, we retired to bed around 10;30 pm, and for the next hour, we had to listen to loud mouth adults screaming in the hallway behind us, kids running up & down the hallway, and about midnight, ...the smell of rancid cigar or cigarette smoke stinking up our room. Next morning, I went to complain about all of this stuff... got an apology and an assurance from the maintenance folks that the "Smell" would be dealt with. We went out on Saturday & were out most of the day. When we got back,..the smell was gone...YAAAY !! But...when we went to dinner,...came back & went to bed...low & behold,...there was the "STINK" all over again. Again, I complained...all I got was an "I'm Sorry",...no offer to make up for any of this nonsense. It was like, .."Hey,..we got your money, you stayed your two nights,...oops, soory..Now get Out !!! Needless to say I will not stay there again....and YOU shouldn't either !!!!

"Old and Dated"

A 40 year old property desperately in need of renovations (supposedly have started). Thin mattress, bed was hard as a rock. Tiny bathrooms. Free WiFi was spotty at best, does not work well. We stayed one night and then checked out. Not recommended.
