"Amazing Vacation Amazing Place!"
June, 2016
This was our second stay at Glenstone Lodge and I must say they are very consistent. The room was clean and everything worked as it should, wifi was nice and didn't drop out or lag. It can get a little hot in the indoor pool area but it was really, nice with the waterfalls, and the deep section is separate from the shallower section. The water I side is very warm for those that do not like cold pools, however the outdoor pool was much cooler if you like that also. The staff were polite and handled all our questions even when we locked ourself out of our room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children.
Tip: Indoor pool is humid, Staff is nice

"A good nights rest"
October, 2015
Glenstone Lodge is well located in Gatlinburg for a quick walk downtown. It is an older lodge but was very clean and the air conditoning worked wonderfully!
Tip: It is a busy large lodge so request a room on the backside if you're not with a family.

"Very pleasant stay"
April, 2015
I took my daughter & two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, for a 2 day stay @ Glenstone Lodge. It was awesome! Kids loved the indoor pool; queen suite was quiet (mountain view), spacious, comfortable, & clean. Staff (all of them!) were friendly & helpful! Breakfast buffet had many selections, convenient & reasonably priced. Internet was not working consistently.
Tip: Historic Trail is a couple blocks off the main drag (Parkway) in Gatlinburg. Parkway traffic was horrible so getting to the hotel takes a while.

No microwave No clock No closet Old style a/c - heat unit with no thermostat just hotter or colder knob and fan never goes off No complimentary breakfast. They have restaurant you can buy breakfast. Very small room not good for 4. No room for bags. Water is EXTREMELY HOT in sink and shower. We tested and it was 145 degrees. If you do stay get a room in the high-rise section above the lobby. My parents stayed in this section and had a better experience. We stayed in older section in the back with doors that open to the parking lot and open walkway like old timely motor lodges. No view just side of another motel. I'm guessing the section we stayed in was one of the original sections that was built 30 or 40 years ago. THE GOOD: Have nice indoor heated pools. Lower is 3ft, upper is 7-9ft. I'm 45 and haven't seen a pool this deep in years and years. Pools are heated and between 87-90 degrees. Not a bad walk to convention center or parkway but uphill coming back.

Decent location, 10 minute walk from main road. Decent property. My room was on the side and not accessible from the front elevator. Facade and front desk were nice. However my room access was from an open floor just like a motel. Overall a decent stay.

"Fall Gatlinburg trip"

My fiancé and I stayed here for 4 nights while we visited Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is a nice hotel with a very nice pool & hot tub area. The hotel was packed and we never got a chance to use the pool or hot tub because it was usually very crowded. I read some previous reviews saying the rooms looked old and dated. I wouldn't disagree with that, but I still thought the hotel overall was very nice. I would stay there again.

"Adequate room, Nice employees, Good location"

My husband & I were in Gatlinburg for a 4 day, 3 night stay which included a resort presentation for another property & this hotel was one of the choices we could stay in. I chose it for its location close to the resort and for the indoor pool with 2 story waterfall. I thought this would be more relaxing compared to kid friendly waterparks in other hotels. There were children at the hotel that enjoyed the pool and adjacent small putt putt area. We arrived Monday evening. The 2 story waterfall was not turned on until Thursday . We enjoyed our stay in Gatlinburg so we requested an extra night stay, which was reasonably priced and available. Upon arrival, it was evident that the hotel itself was dated, but it suited our purpose & needs for this visit. We had a room on the 2nd floor facing the street. Beds, room & bathroom were clean and comfortable and we slept well. WiFi worked. Mini fridge & coffee maker were provided. Breakfast was good and reasonably priced at $6. The best feature of this hotel is its location which is very convenient to the park, Gatlinburg areas, convention center, and Pigeon Forge. Within walking distance of the downtown strip, but far enough away to avoid the traffic and busy-ness. All employees were friendly. We visited Nov. 7 - 11 which seemed to be perfect timing to miss the Fall Foliage crowds and crowds before the holidays. Winterfest Christmas lighting was Nov. 9, so we experienced Gatlinburg's transition from Fall to Christmas lighting sensory overload.
