"Amazing Vacation Amazing Place!"
Reviewed June, 2016
This was our second stay at Glenstone Lodge and I must say they are very consistent. The room was clean and everything worked as it should, wifi was nice and didn't drop out or lag. It can get a little hot in the indoor pool area but it was really, nice with the waterfalls, and the deep section is separate from the shallower section. The water I side is very warm for those that do not like cold pools, however the outdoor pool was much cooler if you like that also. The staff were polite and handled all our questions even when we locked ourself out of our room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children.
Tip: Indoor pool is humid, Staff is nice

"A good nights rest"

Glenstone Lodge is well located in Gatlinburg for a quick walk downtown. It is an older lodge but was very clean and the air conditoning worked wonderfully!
Tip: It is a busy large lodge so request a room on the backside if you're not with a family.

"Very pleasant stay"
Reviewed April, 2015
I took my daughter & two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, for a 2 day stay @ Glenstone Lodge. It was awesome! Kids loved the indoor pool; queen suite was quiet (mountain view), spacious, comfortable, & clean. Staff (all of them!) were friendly & helpful! Breakfast buffet had many selections, convenient & reasonably priced. Internet was not working consistently.
Tip: Historic Trail is a couple blocks off the main drag (Parkway) in Gatlinburg. Parkway traffic was horrible so getting to the hotel takes a while.

"Uncomfortable"

Not bad but not great. Beds were hard as the floor. Pillows were solid foam and not much softer than the bed. The bathroom was so small if you turned around you ran into yourself. The breakfast buffet was average. The room was clean and recently updated but someone had smoked in it and it had an unpleasant odor. Can't blame the hotel for some people's ignorance. It was uphill from the main street, l would choose a hotel nearer the Main Street if I were to come here again.

"Family Reunion Stay"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed July 28, 2016 NEW

My Family and I enjoyed our stay at Glenstone Lodge, the kids really the indoor and outdoor pools available. Also a very nice area reserved for our family reunion to congregate and be fed by the hotel staff along with a cash bar. The hotel appears to be in the midst of remodeling and basically needs to continue and hurry up the process. The Smokey Mountains area competition is stiff and all the hotels on this strip seem to be remodeling as well. By the way we had a suite and the fold out couch beds were not comfortable, all the springs were felt and need to be upgraded.

We stayed there as part of a holiday Inn resort promotion, so I guess beggars can't be choosers. it was a free hotel for three nights in wonderful Gatlinburg, but I don't think I would ever except a promotion like that again. the rooms look very nice but only one of the eight staff members I spoke with had a good personality and acted like they wanted to be there. the beds were probably the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on in any hotel with an air conditioner blowing directly into your Face and no way to adjust it we had to put a towel over the blower and prop it up with the coffee maker. The bathrooms were so small you had to straddle the toilet to open the door, but on a good note the pool was not over chlorinated very warm and we had a lot of fun utilizing it.

"Needs some work"

Could talk all day about the Glenstone. This was our first time to stay here as a couple. We previously stayed here 3-4 times with a group ranging from 30-50. Much different when you are on a getaway than when you are here chaperoning a teen retreat. A bulleted list would be best here: - Place smells like chlorine because of indoor pool. - Staff is friendly and helpful - Didn't try breakfast bar as you can eat across road at pancake house for cheaper - Rooms were recently remodeled which was pleasant. Clean beds and room. TV was nice and channels were HD. - Beds were platform and pretty firm. Ok for us. - Bathroom was gross and dank. Ceiling needed repairs. It was flaking off. Stains and nasty around toilet and tile. Sink was bad - needed new faucet handle. Shower head had great pressure but didn't drain fast enough so you were standing in all the Dollywood that you just washed off. - Wifi - free, spotty and unreliable. Router was literally outside our room door but just didn't have the bandwidth to match that many guests. -If the entire outfit would have matched the recently renovated rooms we would have been in business. This is at best a 2 star hotel. We stayed here because it was part of a free 3 night getaway. We would never pay to stay here.

"Nice Place to Stay"

This was a nice place to stay. The rooms are pretty standard, and it's quiet. The indoor pool is fun. There are waterfalls and two pools, one on top and one underneath. There is also an outdoor pool, bordering a creek. There is even a putting green in the pool area. The hotel is a bit old, but still nice. It is a long walk to attractions, however.
