"Amazing Vacation Amazing Place!"
June, 2016
This was our second stay at Glenstone Lodge and I must say they are very consistent. The room was clean and everything worked as it should, wifi was nice and didn't drop out or lag. It can get a little hot in the indoor pool area but it was really, nice with the waterfalls, and the deep section is separate from the shallower section. The water I side is very warm for those that do not like cold pools, however the outdoor pool was much cooler if you like that also. The staff were polite and handled all our questions even when we locked ourself out of our room. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone especially if you have children.
Tip: Indoor pool is humid, Staff is nice

"A good nights rest"

Glenstone Lodge is well located in Gatlinburg for a quick walk downtown. It is an older lodge but was very clean and the air conditoning worked wonderfully!
Tip: It is a busy large lodge so request a room on the backside if you're not with a family.

"Very pleasant stay"
April, 2015
I took my daughter & two grandchildren, ages 6 & 8, for a 2 day stay @ Glenstone Lodge. It was awesome! Kids loved the indoor pool; queen suite was quiet (mountain view), spacious, comfortable, & clean. Staff (all of them!) were friendly & helpful! Breakfast buffet had many selections, convenient & reasonably priced. Internet was not working consistently.
Tip: Historic Trail is a couple blocks off the main drag (Parkway) in Gatlinburg. Parkway traffic was horrible so getting to the hotel takes a while.

"Pool was the best part"

We stayed here for two nights over Spring Break. The first night was booked thru Hotel Tonight app which I'd never used before. The rate was good, but it booked me into a smoking outside entrance(2 small children and I didn't want either of these) room. When I checked in they said it was an upgrade to have an interior room, but he would see what he could find. The room was small and dated. The worst part being the small windows at the top of the wall - looking out when right next to them you could see the air conditioning unit for the building. The bathroom was so small that you couldn't shut the door while sitting on the toilet. My claustrophobia really kicked in. 2nd night the price went up, even though when checking in the first night the clerk said they could get close to the price paid via the app. Also, didn't realize that breakfast wasn't included, so that was additional cost. Wish we would have just spent more on a different hotel. The girls did love the pool though.

The hotel is a moderately priced well run and the staff was very accomidating. A full breakfast was served. The rooms were comfortable and cleaned daily. The hotel has easy access to the downtown area and other restaurants. The Gatlinburg conference center is within easy walking distance. There is adequate free parking even for large vehicles and buses.

We spent a single night here, my wife and I with to teenage boys. Price was absolutely was. Actually the walkin price was a bit cheaper than hotels.com. Service was excellent. The rooms are a bit old, but still nice and clean. Much better than much of the other Motels we have seen. Like much of these hotels/motels I will comment that the A/C and refrigirator are noisy. The beds were fine. and we got extra sheets for the boys. I would be great if these hotels had sigle bed sheets that you could have for kids in double beds. Breakfast is not included. We bought it and I do not thinks it's worth the price. Nothing bad about it, but not that much to chose from, and you have to buy drinks, besides water. We did not try the pool, but it look lice and clean. Well working Wifi (Ruckus rokcs!).

"Good Stay But Improvment Needed"

We visited the Glenstone Lodge this past Easter weekend. First of all this hotel is in a GREAT location. Walking distance to strip etc! The pool area is incredible. The water is WARM and so is the area so it is a great place to hang out if you have children. However this hotel needs some TLC. The room we were given stunk of strong perfume, this room must have been a smoking room at one time so they were obviously trying to cover that up however I am not sure what was worse. Also, I had been told that they had remodeled the rooms however ours was dated. I did call the front desk and they accommodated us and moved us to a different room that was much better. So kudos to the front desk staff for that. The hotel in general needs a lot of remodeling. The garbage cans in the hallways are all pitted and have peeling paint, the floors are old and stained, carpeting old and needs updating. It is my understanding that it is under new management so hopefully some of these things are in the works. I do not think we will return anytime soon to this hotel only because I know there are other hotels in the area that are comparable in price and have newer and cleaner accommodations.

We stayed three nights at Glenstone, our first time lodging here. The motor lodge is reminiscent of motels from 60's and 70's. Our room was outside accessible though they have rooms which are interior accessible. The lobby, eating and pool areas are all very nice and comparable to other hotels in the area with water/swimming features. The restaurant served a buffet breakfast with a chef preparing omelets and waffles. The cost and the food are in line with area breakfast restaurants and of course very convenient. The room and bathroom were small, unlike the larger rooms of newer hotels. The carpet and bedding were new. The bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning was an in wall unit and a bit loud. Everything in the room worked fine. The location is convenient. It is a short walk to the main street and near the convention center. Mynatt Park, a public Gatlinburg park, is a hidden gem just up the street from Glenstone. A rushing creek runs alongside the park and there are picnic tables, grills, tennis courts, plenty of open space, a walking path and playground in one area of the park. All the years we have been to Gatlinburg and the Smokies we had never been to or were aware the park's there. By the way the cost of the motel room is about 50-60% of other motel rooms in the area.
