we stayed in the king bed room. The room was nicely decorated and clean. It is convenient to several things in the pigeon forge Area. They offer free breakfast with biscuits, eggs, and pancakes. We will definitely stay again.

The Econo Lodge exceeded all of our expectations. Very clean. The pics on the web were very accurate. No surprises! Using Reserve Gatlinburg was smooth and easy.
Tip: This is an Econo lodge not the Waldorf. For this type of hotel this one was great!

"Very nice stay"

The room was clean and beds were comfortable. The only complaint that I had was that I would hang the towels after each use to reuse and housekeeping would pull them daily. I started leaving the do not disturb sign on the door so I did not have any housekeeping service for a few days. I did not see any reason for new towels each day. so truely this was a very very minor complaint.

"Great find!"

My family and I had to rearrange our lodging on short notice before this trip. We lucked into this hotel and were very satisfied. The only downfall was that we could not get adjoining rooms, but they did the best the could and I do not hold that against them. The river view is nice and you can feed the geese and ducks. There is an indoor pool but be prepared to walk out outside to get there with the river view rooms. We had thought of a swim, but decided the walk was too cold. The pool looked great though. The room was nice, not entirely soundproof but relaxing just the same. Can't complain about the heating unit either! Bathroom is small and there is a big step when you get out of the tub. (Tub floor and room floor are not the same height.) This tripped me up and I almost fell. According to the rest of our group, their room had a 'watch your step' sign. Ours did not. Overall it was a great find and a great stay. The guys really enjoyed it's proximity to the Christmas Place as the women could take a short walk over and shop while the stayed in and watched tv! Will definitely consider it again in the future.

"Fall visit to the Smokey Mountains"

We decided to make a fall visit to the mountains and stayed, as usual, in Pigeon Forge. Our visit was November 12th, before the terrible fires that moved into the area. I used Trip Advisor to find the best motel for our stay and was VERY pleased with the Econo Lodge Riverside! The staff, starting with check in and through our visit were just very nice. The breakfast buffet was excellent with eggs, sausage, and gravy along with the usual muffins and juice. The coffee was excellent, available fresh in the lobby and during breakfast. The room was clean and looked really nice. We will definitely stay at this motel again and hope to do this very soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with the great people who live in the Gatlinburg area as they recover from the recent fires.

To start, we were supposed to be in Gatlinburg, but with a heavy heart, we were unable to because of the fires. Instead of cancelling our yearly trip we made it to Pigeon Forge instead....as a way to show support for the area. I looked and found this hotel online, took a chance and booked a heck of a deal. I got two deluxe king rooms (ones with a couch bed). They were not as big as I expected, but boy were they nice! Clean, great water pressure, lots of counterspace and a comfy bed with comfy pillows. We were right beside the Christmas Place...how appropriate!....so I finally got to go there!! It's just down the road from the Harley Shop (made the husband happy) and a little ride from the Island, where we spent our Saturday. OH! The breakfast is GREAT! Finally a hotel that knows how to make fluffy scrambled eggs and good sausage links!! YUM!!! The only thing they need to do is come up with more room for people to eat. It gets VERY crowded in the small dining area. The Christmas decorations were beautiful! Everyone there is so nice!! Another plus, is that they already give you 2 extra pillows and blanket, for those of us who like that. We really enjoyed the riverside view and feeding the ducks. We got them to eat from our hands...they know where the food is (and the hotel has food dispensers, which is cool!) All in all...a great trip with the family. So happy I got to bring some money to the area after the fires! Thank you to the staff!!!

This was the second time we stayed here and this was just as great as the first time. We love having a delicious breakfast in the morning, feeding the ducks, and watching the flowing water. Everything is close to the hotel to have fun during the day, and we loved going across the street to Carino's for dinner.
