First off, I don't think that anyone really wins $1,000.....all and all we had a great time, while in Tennessee. The hotel room was spacious, omelet bar was good and staff were very nice and helpful.
Tip: drink plenty of water and be sure to try the shine!!!!

"Starting to show its age -- wear around the edges"

Still a good value & good location. Rooms are suites and very comfortable. Particularly nice is the air conditioning system that is nice and quiet in the bedroom at night. Also, its nice to have 2 (or 3 in the larger suites) TV's so if someone goes to bed early, the other TV can be watched by those still awake. Unfortunately, not a lot is being done to improve this property or even keep it up with yesterday's standards. Indicative of this are the two computers in the comfortable lobby that guests are invited to use. They are at least 5 to 6 years old with tiny screens that don't display full websites. They load so slowly that they really aren't useful - just to bring up a local restaurants menu was a major undertaking. If they aren't keeping up her where a minimum investment each year would be appropriate, you can be sure they are cutting corners in other areas as well (and it shows). Front desk staff was OK but not as effective as those working last year, breakfast cook was effective but no nearly as personable and pleasant as last year, etc. This happens so many times in resort towns that its a shame that management can't see what they are doing.

The family had a great stay. The rooms were very clean and smelled great. The staff is so friendly. We would have stayed longer if we could. The breakfast in the morning was very good and had a lot of variety for our picky eaters.

"Nice but dated"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5
Reviewed June 30, 2016 NEW

We stayed for 6 nights. It was a very clean nice place to stay, but dated in that there was rust around the tub spigiots, cracks in the floor in the bathroom and the kitchen was very small. The breakfast was good but limited to biscuits, gravy , waffles and cold cereal. . The omlet station was great as long as you dont mind waiting for 45 minutes for an omlet.service was good and the pool was nice.

The rooms here are very spacious, that was a nice surprise. The location is great and is really close to Dollywood. After walking around in the heat at Dollywood all day their out door pool was refreshing. Very clean rooms and a nice breakfast in the morning. Will return soon in the future. The Johnson family

A run down old suite hotel. The smell that met us at the door, was almost sickening. We put the lowest setting On the A/C before we left and when we came back the smell was still present. It smells like moldy/ wet/old rug. Although we paid 149.$ Minus 40$ for room taxes, we are trying to be sold on resorts. If this is how you treat potential customers then no thank you. The water pressure was barely there. When you're tired you want to take a quick shower. There were little holes in the wall, gave a creepy feeling. The "wall paper" was peeling off. The pull out ouch was very uncomfortable, my son and daughter didn't share a bed, so one of them had to sleep out there. We told them we had two kids. No extra pillows for it either. The TV in the main bedroom was blurry because it was old. Just not a homey feeling. This is just the first day, so I don't want to seem ungrateful. I am thankful I'm with my loved ones.
