This was the highlight of our vacation! The teenagers enjoyed the birds. It is a beautiful peaceful place. We enjoyed feeding the nectar to the birds and getting our pic taken for a small fee! Our whole family enjoyed the visit
Tip: The parking is pretty bad and the parking lot is very steep! It levels out a little inside

"Fantastic Visit"
August, 2016 NEW
This was an amazing visit for our group. We had 15 people with us at the time of our visit and the staff made sure everyone had a wonderful time. They made sure our pictures were beautiful and that the kids handled as many birds as they wanted to. The grounds were clean and beautiful and all of the birds looked well kept and taken care of. This was one of the kids favorite experiences over our vacation. Thanks for having us and we will definitely be back to visit!
Tip: Bring your camera and be prepared to walk uphill and down.

"Great time"

I love going here, I try to go every trip! I love interacting with the birds and I have a few favorite ones I go see. Some can be a little crabby and bite you when you try to feed them so watch out on that. Good fun and so relaxing.

"Very disappointed"
June, 2016
I was at parrot mountain today. I came with my handicap neice. She don't walk, talk or understand. Someone told ask about taking the golf cart. We didn't get to see everything. Never went to garden of Eden. But you charged me for a childs rate and 25.00 for the golf cart. I just think you should of waved the cart fee. It was not easy to push her up to the entrance. Just think you should be alittle more kinder to handicap children/young adults. I know not all handicap are the same.
Tip: If pushing a wheelchair think twice about going.

"Fantastic Trip for Bird Lovers"
October, 2015
It was an amazing and breathtaking experience for avian fanatics. My boyfriend who isn't into birds loved it because he was able to interact with each unique bird with its own talent. I love seeing them not being trapped in their cages and move freely. I really enjoyed feeding nectar to the lorikeets. They eat very quickly and love shiny things. Definitely worth my entire wallet. I drove from the Northeast just for this and I was not disappointed. Wish TN wasn't so far away!
Tip: The mountain is extremely steep and the roads are super windy!!! Please drive carefully. I wish they had a little bus that could pick up everyone from the bottom.

"not pleased"
October, 2015
i was very disappointed with this trip, very poor customer service, workers were 15 minutes late opening the park and were rude after they finally opened, the lady at the ticket office got smart with my mom. the birds are neat to see and fed but cost way too much for the little bit of food you get
Tip: be prepared to be nickled and dimed to feed the birds

We went to it and was amazed at all of the parrots and other birds they had. You walk up to the place and there is several birds on perches. It was another place where you took all of the time or took as little as you wanted. There were birds to feed. Some in screened in areas that you could feed and they loved to land on you. If you didn't want to go in you didn't have to. There were talking birds baby parrots that you could hold. It too had benches you could set on and rest. Lots of beautiful flowers too. Little and big were enjoying it while we were there. We enjoyed it and its such a restful place.
Tip: Be aware that you will want to go back

"Parrot Mountain"

My husband wasn't even thrilled about going here. And now that's all he ever talks about and wants to go back. He was impressed about the birds talking to you throughout the park.
Tip: If you go on a day when its extremely hot, trust me, it's even hotter on that mountain.

Sitting on top of a steep incline just past Dollywood is a true hidden gem. Rescued tropical birds of many varieties are all over the property. You can handle and feed them ( except the few with DO NOT FEED on their perch).

"Not Easy to Find Even With GPS"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

Coming from Knoxville, we used GPS to find the park. GPS took us up a narrow mountain road that dead ended. The signs pointing the way were few and far between. We had to call the park in order to get better directions. The park is located on the side of a mountain, so walking around the park can be difficult. They did have a golf cart that you could rent and a driver would drive you around. Even so, this park is not a good fit for people with mobility issues. We enjoyed our visit to the park. We enjoyed the bird feeding areas. I fell in love with a cockatoo named Cracker. He was one of the birds you could feed. However, he didn't want food. He wanted you to scratch his head. I obliged. So awesome. Feeding the lorikeets was also fun. They warn you to hold the food tightly and run in. This was with good reason. The second you enter, they are all over you to get to the nectar. Amazing. If you have small ones, it is best to prepare them. While we were in the enclosure, a young family came in. Their little boy was not ready for the swarm of lorikeets landing on him and cried the whole time. Our main criticism of the park was that many of the bird enclosures had no signs to say what kind of birds were inside. That was disappointing because many of the birds were unusual. It would have been nice to know their names.

Probably one of the coolest things my wife and I ever did. There are birds everywhere. They are very well behaved, interactive, and very polite birds. Staff was very friendly. Yes, it's on a mountain. The roads are akin to the mountain roads in the area. Steep and narrow. For 2 adults, feeding the birds, and getting a picture with them on us, it cost $58. We felt the cost was very reasonable as this is one of the more unique experiences out there. Highly recommend
