"Most amazing adventure park."
November, 2015
We went on the Goliath zip line. It was breathtaking and an adrenaline rush. There's lots of things to do for the whole family. Theres lots to do, zipline, ropes course, rock climbing wall, hiking, you could spend at least a half a day or more just having fun with the family. We took our three adult children with us and we all enjoyed it. This will be top on our list when we return.

"Highlight of our family's 2017 summer vacation!"

While I have never written a review on Trip Advisor, I felt compelled to do so for Foxfire Mountain because it was such a uniquely remarkable place. Without a doubt, this place was the highlight of our family’s vacation. This was not just for me, but for every member of my family. Not only does the location offer many diverse and engaging experiences, but that are also many subtle proofs that this place “gets it” when it comes to families. From the hula-hoops and toys accessible around the yard, to the corn hole games and numerous unstructured “experiences” (i.e. museum, Bridge to Prosperity, obstacle course, etc.), this location has multiple adventures waiting for everyone. Also, I felt that the act of writing down and placing a memory in the covered bridge was very deeply meaningful, as was reading the wishes of hundreds of others. Now onto our zip lining, which is why we went there in the first place. Our guides (Justin & Parker), who make or break this type of experience, were consummate professionals. They were caring, safety conscious, and exhibited just the right level of support for those who were new to the experience, as well as an appropriate sense of humor. I don’t like guides, no matter what their level of expertise, who are more interested in their own egos than they are the experience of their guests. These guys were just the opposite, with compassion and a focus on safety, they explained the process of zip lining and had us engaged in progressive skill building. Our young daughter has a mechanical heart valve, so this was a situation where we were extremely anxious. As concerned parents who also want to provide her with activities that make life an adventure, we are constantly anguishing as we balance risk with reward. The smile on our daughter’s face as she came across the first gorge, and her joy that we all shared, made our anxiety worthwhile. However, had I known how professional our guides were, and how safe the course was (Waterfall Canopy Zip Line Tour), I would not have been in the least bit worried. Because of her small size, she even had a chance to ride tandem with Parker. I think that the purpose of a family vacation is to create those memories that bind a family together in a common experience, the kind that become a part of your shared past. The better the memory, the more valuable the event. In this way, Foxfire Mountain was the most valuable, impactful, powerful and enjoyable adventure our family had during our visit to the Smoky Mountains. I appreciate and will cherish the joyful memories that Foxfire Mountain gave to our family; it was truly a gift.

"Great experience with a lot to do"

Some of our party went on the Goliath while one went on the waterfall ziplines. Our guide Chase, Elijah, Aaron & Craig were all great. The experience is beyond words, they kept us informed and entertained as we went from one line to the next. After ziplining we hiked some trails and ended the morning with a stop at the Apple Cider store where we had the best cider. We went after Labor Day to avoid the crowds and it was perfect, but our only regret was that the BBQ restaurant was closed so we couldn't enjoy what I'm sure would've been a delicious lunch as well.

"First Time Ziplinning with Tour Guides Chasse and Elisah!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

My first time ziplinning is something I'll never forget! It was absolutely amazing and fun, and the mood of the tour was set right with guides Chasse and Elisah. They were downright chill and detailed with instructions and know how to bring the fun along with it. I never got the chance to say thank you to Elisah for saving me all those time because I never was able to reach the end of the platform and didn't have enough arm strength to pull myself all the way through, so thank you very much if you do ever read this! I'll also like to give a shoutout to Chasse for all those cheesy dad jokes he gave and I was basically the only one who got the jokes. And also for having a mutual liking of anime (I'll remember to watch code geass and re:zero when I get the chance 👍)! It was very lovely to meet them and if anyone gets a chance to zip line at Foxfire Mountain, I'll definitely reccomend getting Elisah and Chasse as your tour guides!

We had an amazing time zip lining through this beautiful mountainside park! My family had never zip lined before and decided to give it a go and it was totally worth it!! Our guides Chasse and Elijah were great and safety was their main concern, along with making sure everyone had an AMAZING TIME! The non-stop laughs and the generally nice demeanor made all of the nervousness of going over a 475 foot mountain cliff much easier! --Also when you go over the cliff side make sure you yell "Chasse and Elijah NEED A RAISE!!!!"
