Our Family absolutely loved this display and museum. We were so blessed to have had the opportunity to view the exhibits and take some time to remember the real reason for why we are here. God. I recommend that everyone visiting Gatlinburg stop and see Christ in the Smokies.

"Hidden treasure"
October, 2015
Three of us traveled to Pigeon Forge area, Went on line prior and found Christ in the Smokies and purchased the tickets to surprise the other two. We loved it. The characters were so realistic, made you feel like you were a part of the scene. Beautiful portrayal of each event. This little hidden treasure is worth the visit, we now tell everyone we know to stop by. Most that has travel there for years did not even realize it was there.
Tip: You can purchase tickets on line and save. Great parking after you visit, you can walk to all the other attraction and park free.

"Visiting Christ in the Smokies"
July, 2015
I visited Christus Gardens in the early 70's with my children and wanted to relive the experience. It was better now than then. With each scene, My wife and I were taken back into time. It was breathtaking. The people in the scenes looked as real as if we were talking with them. It certainly made me glad to call myself Christian after my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. My plans are to go back next year for another visit. If you are going to Gatlinburg, stop in. One of the best attractions in town.

We wanted to visit Christ in the Smokies to make sure Jesus was a focus on or vacation too, as he should be everyday. Knowing ahead of time that this was a wax museum I expected a certain amount of "cheesiness". To a degree I would say this was accurate, but for being a wax museum I would say it was well presented. We especially like the reading of scripture at each of the self guided tour displays. The narration sounds great and I like that they added verses directly from the Bible rather than just explaining each scene on their own. The self guided tour takes you through the story of Jesus from birth to death, then resurrection and assention. The gardens left something to be desired, but that wasn't why we were there so we weren't concerned with that. The admission price is 21.95 per person, we had a coupon for one free admission. I think the 21 admission price may be a little much considering there doesn't seem to be any updates to to museum, but I don't know how many people they get through yearly or how often they update the scenes. I will add that I checked their Facebook page prior to our visit and the displays seemed to be accurately pictured on their page. Staff was very friendly. The gift shop at the end of the tour was nice, there wasn't much different than a typical Christian store but we liked it. Also, for those with children, the tour kept the attention of our 11 year old son as well. Suggestion for the future: I'd like to see a display focusing on a different story or book of the Bible that would be changed out yearly for return visitors.

In the midst of crowded streets and restaurants this Museum returns us to the Peace our world is searching. Admission fee less than $10. Lifesize figures and beautiful recordings take you on a journey through the Gospels. Be prepared to smile, cry and exit in Joy. Then follow the exhibits of true artifacts when Jesus Christ lived, out to Patio and Scripture Gardens and finish browsing the gift shop. Leave your car and walk to a nearby ski lift(not part of museum) to get a birds eye view of God's creation and walk The Smokies.
