This was a fun experience. The open lift is faster than the enclosed lift. Fun activities to do at the top. We zip lined for the first time and it was awesome! You need to book ahead of time to zip line; it gets booked quickly and they did decline people because they could only take as much.

Our group of four adults along with our four year old Granddaughter visited on Saturday November 17th. This was our second visit. We rode the Chondola (6 person enclosed) up, and the chair lift (4 person open air) down. Enjoyed both. Upon arriving at the top my Granddaughter wasted no time sprinting into action. She rode the Rail Runner (additional charge) with her dad (her first mountain coaster ride), did the Gem Mining and then the Treehouse Village playground and that was before lunch! We had lunch at the Cliff Top Grill and bar. Our lunch from the grill was excellent; Price is very good for the amount of food you get (portion large enough to share) and the city backdrop and Mountain View’s can’t be beat. After lunch it was time for the sixteen bridge Tree Canopy Walk and then the Memorial Forest Walk and Vista Garden Walk (very informative about the 2016 Gatlinburg Fire). We ended the day sitting around the fire pit while my Granddaughter enjoyed her ice cream cone. For you older kids they also have dueling zip-lines (additional charge) through the treetops. The employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. The adults in our group enjoyed all the amenities from the retail shops to just sitting in the rocking chairs and enjoying the magnificent scenic views. Overall we had another great experience. This is a “Must Do” when you visit the area. Keep in mind that their operating schedule as well as which rides are open is subject to change based on weather conditions. Open daily;

"Anakeesta family visit"

Great visit to Anakeesta. We had a 2 year old so for his trip up the mountain the enclosed cabin was chose. I did see several families with similar aged children choose to ride the chair lift. In my opinion a bad idea. There is no safety clips or belts at all. The pictures and history on the fire from 2016 was informative. The views from Anakeesta were beautiful. We were fortunate to have clear sunny weather. Two of us had fun zip lining. Our guides were awesome (Tanner Levi Jeffrey and can’t remember the rest). This guide crew on 12/2/18 made my first zip lining adventure an awesome experience!!!

You can take a chairlift or gondola. The ride down was dark and the view of the city lights was breathtaking! There is a swinging bridge and gardens at the top. You can sit and enjoy the mountain view. Cute little shops and a coupke of places to eat or get a hot beverage. Can’t wait to go back when we have more time to explore.

They just opened, but I have high hopes for the attraction. It's a bit pricey to get to the top as you have to ride the sky lift, but the views are excellent. A few shops and lots for the kids to do. A nice memorial to the 2016 fire along the path.Dress warm if you go in the colder months as the ride is chilly, but be sure to check it out.
